Oh man, going from gunlance to hbg, and the shield being straight up better then gunlancer shield, is sure can.
I am pleasantly surprised. It had less jokes, but the DOOM montage was good.

I started to get into them when my mates got angry that i got the R7 glutton from KT in my First Run on PC, since then I've played tons of other hbg, I like them a LOT

The BFG Division was very unexpected but MUCH appreciated. Excellent video.
Okay so... the hunting-horn experience will always be my favorite.
HOWEVER!
That beautiful second bit was a combination of utterly and delightfully cheesy hype. I feel you missed a golden change to spoof a 90's action movie hero. Instead however, we were blessed with a beautiful montage of rip and tear...ing apart monsters!

I still come back to this video the edit at 4:45 was so smooth (along with everything else) idc if i have to wait until Sept as long you make it with passion
Freaking fantastic. I picked up the HBG after Kulve decided to drop the Assault Blast (in lieu of the gunlances I’d been looking for) and hot damn was it worth it! There’s a lot of commonality between GL and a shield-equipped heavy bowgun - both slow but very powerful, and they benefit from patience and picking your time to blast rather than going full aggro.
I liked your long form instructional video here. Mostly I watch your MHW stuff for the funny, but the info component here was nicely done. I don’t think any of us watchers would mind seeing you dig farther into the guts of how these surprisingly complex weapons work.
Anyways, enough rambling. Keep up the good work :D

One thing a friend of mine helped me to discover is that using the armor skill “Focus” (or whatever the fast charge skill is translated to in other languages.) boosts the recharge rate of your special ammo for HBG. I made a very satisfying build that lets me use Wyvernsnipe approximately every minute.

I was actually just stopping by to rewatch the Hunting Horn and Hammer videos, and saw that I had missed a new release 😱
As always, love the work you do. The opening was good (can’t go wrong with Frank, lol), but I’m not sure if tutorial up-front or at the end makes more sense for the flow of the video. You did a good job being informative, but I was just thinking I didn’t like your newest one, right when the music from Doom kicked in and I was asking myself, “wait, is this Doom?”
The destruction timed with the music is the single thing I have found you do better than almost anyone else doing Monster Hunter videos on UA-cam. That will probably be the thing that keeps bringing me back time and again. Keep it up, and I look forward to the next one!

I tried the HBG a few days ago and I like it. But it's a terrible feeling when you line up the _perfect_ snipe and the mission ends just as you pull the trigger.

Always good to see a new upload. Don’t worry about upload frequency too much. It’s completely fine to have a long break between uploads that are this high quality. I don’t want to think about the amount of time and effort that it takes to make these. Besides, if we ever need our Fear of Flames kick and there isn’t a new upload, we can go back and watch Hammer Experience on repeat for an hour and a half (yes, I have actually done this, and yes, it was worth it).
I agree with your point about the Switch Axe video, as well. It’s NEVER a good sign if you have to force yourself to make something, especially not if you have to force yourself to enjoy it. Of course, I don’t know if that’s what happened in your case, but I kinda get this feeling that every MH player is going to find at least one weapon that doesn’t click with them. At least, that’s been my experience with my (admittedly limited) longsword playtime. Just feels too sluggish.
I'm loving this far more comprehensive breakdown where you even address what kind of ammo is best for which monster (in terms of standard three)
You've convinced me to strap the ammo belt back on when I get my hands on this game.
As a side note I would also recommend taking some practice using the support ammo types so you can play other roles should there be a need.
