I’m happy to finally see another video using tape ins on a black woman. I’ve been using them for months and this method works best for me. I have extremely curly hair but it’s too fine for a sew in. Braids last a week max on me due to slippage. Ladies remember not every method works for everyone. Your hair will need to be blow dried each time it’s washed but you should not be washing more than once a week. Using the right products/ proper care of your hair is key regardless of extension method. Not only am I a DIY type of girl but I’m also a licensed cosmetologist so I’m mainly dropping this comment for some help to anyone who needs it. Tape ins seem to be shamed. Do your research before judging the method!
Thank you much for this comment, it really helps to inform people first hand. Because my salon focuses on mainly alternative method both just traditional weave I get a lot of rude comments from people who are uninformed and who have not experienced extensions themselves, these is so many method of extensions
houseofhairuk London it’s funny because when I was looking into doing them on myself, I was terrified to try them because of the negative comments and the fact that there’s no public information or videos on black women wearing tape ins! Keep up the good work

Not sure how safe this is on your hair but one damn thing is for sure & that's that this LOOKED AWESOME. She pulled that hair up in that ponytail and it looked like this girl grew that hair from her own scalp. Wow

So question...... having multiple methods mixed together like micro links and tape... does it not damage the hair from manipulation? Her hair looked a bit thin and mine is already naturally fine... will a tape install cause further breakage or thinning ?
Hi having mixed methods does not damage the hair at all. But if your hair is already think maybe invisible flat wefts are a better option. This lady says she always had thin hair and had always had tape in extensions at other salon.

I have fine hair so sew ins are so hard to maintain. I would have to glue tracks on my leave out. Wigs are too hot and look so unnatural in person
Whatever you sprayed on there to remove the glue is pure magic

The stylist did an excellent job but it seems so unhealthy like it would rip your hair out.
For some it defo can tapes are not for every hair type for sure of the persons hair is very weak I advise invisible flat wefts not tapes

I would try a u part wig or a few clip ins instead. Your scalp is super delicate

This reminds me of when women used to use that black glue to glue in tracks. This method is not as messy.
Omg it actually is as messy I remember that and although this has a good glue remover it’s still really messy to remove for sure x

I hate tape hair station, have them and it was not a good experience and also the glue ones.. Horror. Pass that this looks beautiful, I really wish I have the patience yo do hair.

Since its adhesive, does it rip the hai out or thin it out over time?
Sometimes it can, I would advise other options before taped or keratin bonds for that reason
Tape eventually damaged your hair, it pulls it out and thinning it.
Yes but it’s also shedding your hair normally has... just taking care is important and when removing be careful

I’ve always wondered what happens when she washes her hair? Her real hair goes back to curly but her tape ins don’t? I’m so confused with this technique... thanks in advance babe
Hi hun she just Blowdrys and straightens our her hair like normal and it blends again. I don’t no many woman or was there hair and leave it to just air dry most ladies blow dry hair so that all anyone with extensions needs to do to make it match again
But the constant heat of stretching the root where it is curliest with a blow dryer would heat the tapes and cause them to not last but hers when you were removing , didn’t look like they had slipped at all so the tapes must be really well made or she took great care to avoid the tapes

Loved this, would you recommend tape ins for 4c texture Released hair? And how long does it last?
Hi only if you use a 4c texture hair and have them silk pressed often. The issue with tape and glue in extensions is that you want to avoid the amount of oil and water near the room. Most 4c ladies add daily water and products so the tapes might just slide out

Can you PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do a video with this style but with any of the beaded weft methods??? I want to get that balyage/ombre look with out dying my hair and without tape-ins. The beaded weft methods are my absolute favorite types of hair extensions and I would love to know if you can accomplish this same look just with a different type of extension. I know if anybody can do it, it is definitely you! I love watching your videos!!! Keep up the great work!!!

I know this was a few years ago when you did this but I have a question I think you said you should only use the same color extensions as her base color so it would blend and look natural so I'm confused bc I mostly saw you placing the blonde highlight extensions throughout her hair I'm getting some soon and I have dark brown hair but want some blonde highlights can I use those or do I need to place some dark brown extensions on top of the blonde highlight extensions and then sandwich them??

Hi for a full head I would use 60/80 tapes giving you 30-40 across the head

What happens when you wash and all the kinky hair comes back mixed in with the straight extensions and the regrowth will not be smooth either. Do you just blow dry it all and straighten it as high up as you can? Help??

She washes her hair as normal but her drying and straightening process is longer thank if she was to have naturally straight hair

Hi she washed every 2wks and changed to la weave rows and IF wefts because she found it to hard blow drying her hair back strsight with tapes
