The only way I can describe the HABIT is that it's a delay in many different forms but then when you least expect it, a tiny Robert Fripp starts playing inside the pedal... BUT THERE'S MORE! Then there's this little indecisive habit hobbit toying around with your notes and phrases, scanning between them all like he's searching for something on a radio dial.
Beautiful video. I get this feeling that your pedals besides being an amazing creative tool they are also poetry, music and art by themselves. There is so much beauty just in their concept. Congratulations Chase Bliss & Knobs.
Amazing pedal that will definitely come to define my sound… you guys took all the code I’ve been working on and made it into a stompbox 😂 seriously thank u. We need more experimental pedals!
saving up for my birthday.. i play the trumpet and so far have a PO-33 and a volca fm.. so this is going to double the cost of my setup but infinitely deepen it x cant wait.. see you in october
I have to wonder, have you ever tried Make Noise's Mimeophon module? It sounds like it explores some of the same ideas as the Habit. It also lets you revisit fragments of sound you've previously put into it, move a "tape head" minutes into the past and some similar ideas. Not saying anything's wrong about it, just that they have some overlap. Either way, huge fun to play around with!
@@DamienTheCat Nah, it's closer to blooper then mood but still very different. I've had mood twice and blooper once and both are great pedals but this is something still unique that is awesome on it's own or great with both of those!
think of it as a half of a blooper and more. Sure it has 6 modifiers and some delay / looping thing going on like blooper, but blooper doesn't have 3 minutes of memory to hold and play back and spits random parts of your playing back like the scan knob does on habit.
I can only pray for a habit v2 with stereo options, cause I love this pedal so much 🙏🙏🙏

Very helpful description. Thanks!
PS: 2 yrs later, do you still use it in the same way?
Hey, I was on that train!
Shit, I love the thought of accidental songs. Your hard work has made my life better. Love you guys.
Beautiful animation - oh, and pedal too! 😁
Beautiful video.

Feels awesome to have a front row seat to the evolution of pedals. This one is like a cat. Gotta spend some time with it and earn the good stuff

It's too weird. Had to have it. Thanks fellas, really excited for this one.
How lovely. Be interesting to see how it sounds on cello. Cracking video team - thanks for sharing! X
I love these animated shorts you guys do and this one was really lovely. creative as well as educational! Well done!

I'd love to hear it!
Such an exciting day when a chase Bliss pedal shows up in the mail
Hoping to add this epic pedal to my jams soon. Love stuff keep making these extraordinary pedals.
Having 3 minutes is most excellent! Most so-called loopers are nowhere near that point. It's cool to know the story behind the development. 😀
beautifully made.
Sounds awesome!! it seems like a new way of using granular processing in pedal world (but more like a tape rather microcosm), no ?

really like this
Lovely video. Excited for mine to show up!
Sensational.
1:22 Blood Brothers aesthetic.
Please make it in STEREO!!! 😀
It’s a pedal NOT a stereo!
Yeah, I know it‘s a pedal. 😃 But I‘m a synth guy and I need it in STEREO! HABIT is so fantastic! And imagine it in stereo with ping-pong delays…
Buy 2
Stoked about this
Got one.....
I havent slept since.
So it’s Mutable Instruments Beads in pedal form?
what happened to LSP's son, starby?
I missed your voice Mr. Knobs
I liked this intro vid the best (to date)
The FEZ-pedal...I g e t i t
How is this not a Mood / Blooper remixed?
No, it is. It really is just a mood but now with a 3 minute memory bank instead of a few seconds.
Here's a little write-up about just that:

It’s great, but is it really that much different to Blooper?
Yes.

@@BrockDavisson the 3 minute looping time is a game changer as I think the blooper only has 30 seconds. Thanks for the info Brock 👍
Frippertronics in a pedal
