I wish someone, somewhere, would demonstrate the kind size adjustable bases from dreamcloud, nectar etc. They offer "king" or "split king" yet there is no such thing as a one-piece king base anymore (which begs the question, why have the "king" option in their cart - when you select it, they say "this is actually two twins" LOL). Would love to see the "strap" they speak of in terms of how the two twin adjustable bases are strapped together to prevent movement, and how they ensure the two twin bases are synced with one remote, for those that have a one-piece king mattress.

All you have to do is sync the two mattresses with the sync cable that they provide and connect the cable to each bed which has a sync port for Bed A and Bed B. Bed A and Bed B will now be controlled simultaneously.

I just ordered my dreamcloud bed and adjustable base today I asked about the attachment to add a headboard I was told that if I did that it would avoid my warranty on the base I just thought I should let you know

Wow, really? Thanks for sharing this. That seems very surprising to say the least, considering that they specifically sell an attachment to enable this and they never mentioned anything about this to us. When you receive the base I would be very interested in knowing if the warranty really does contain a clause that stipulates this. It's possible that it does but I wouldn't be at all surprised if it doesn't. Since our reviews tend to go deeper than the product information that is otherwise available, we've encountered many cases in the past where the customer service people for any given brand may be unaware of or misinformed about some of the details we provide. bought a split king dreamcloud premier hybrid rest today with the adjustable bed frame. they do offer an extended 10 year warranty on the bed frame. i did not get at checkout with the price being $169, but after checkout it was immediately offered for $69 ($100 off) so got it. the extended warranty covers everything 100% and if it can't be fixed a new one is provided for free.

Fantastic review! I appreciate how thorough you were. I just purchased a DreamCloud adjustable base. It's getting assembled tomorrow. I can't wait to try out all the cool features. However, the rep told me that they stopped offering the white glove service due to Covid.

Great review! The one thing that didn't impress me was seeing you sitting at the foot of the bed and seeing a substantial side mattress defection! I noticed you were sitting all the way back, but that mattress side deflection seems to be a deal breaker. Your thoughts on this would be appreciated.

Hi there -- Thanks for your question. Are you talking about the deflection of the mattress that is visible, for example, at 17:27 in the video? If so, this is called edge support and it has 100% to do with the mattress and 0% to do with the base (which is what is being covered in this video). Put another way, with someone sitting in that position, that mattress would deflect the exact same amount if it were on a slab of concrete.
Also, for some additional context about the edge support of this particular mattress, while there clearly is some deflection (and there are some mattresses that would have less of this), in the grand scheme of all mattresses, that amount of is still better than average.

Great Video... Have a question for you. Does the Dreamcloud adjustable come with the (white resident remote) in your video or a (black remote) that i see with some of the other youtubers. I actually like the remote you are using better. Thanks for your help and I look forward to your answer

Hi there -- Thanks for your question, and the kind words. I would recommend hitting the company up on chat about this one. The remote shown in the video is obviously what came in the box that was sent to us a couple months ago. So unless the other videos you're seeing received product more recently than that, I would assume that white is the color you should expect. Let us know when you receive it though!

I messaged dreamcloud today and asked about headboard compatibility, and they said it was not designed to be used with a headboard. Can you post a link to the headboard brackets? I dont see them anywhere. Thanks for the in depth review! 👍🏻

Hi Brian -- The unit is definitely compatible with headboard brackets. They aren't included with the bed, so maybe that was what confused their customer service agent. However, there are even instructions for installing them in the manual, which you can see here: d.pr/i/Xvwf8W.
If you want the headboard brackets, here's the number to call -- they'll need to know the exact model you have and they should be able to find the part you need: 720-458-5955. This is a company called Uniters -- they handle warranty issues and parts for a number of mattress companies, including DreamCloud.

I'm not aware of any official statements on that specifically, however they did say that it's zero clearance, and we also showed this in the video. And that's one of the things that zero clearance means.

Hi Mark -- Thanks for your question. Have you watched the video? We covered this in the "Remote Control and App" section, which starts at 13:34. We had a little trouble at first as well, but we were ultimately successful and shared what we learned. If that doesn't do the trick then I'd suggest reaching out to the company for tech support.

Hi there -- Thanks for your astute question. Technically it does, but this particular mattress model does have a difficult time conforming to the curves of the base when it's in a fully elevated position. This is a good example of why we explain to consumers that not all mattresses that are technically "adjustable base compatible" are created equally in terms of how compatible they actually are.
As a result of its conformance limitations and other related factors that we assess, we rated this mattress a 6 (out of 10) for adjustable base compatibility.

Hi Bob -- Thanks for your question. These legs don't seem any more likely to scratch your floor than the legs of any other bed frame -- or any other piece of furniture that gets sat on for that matter (couches, chairs, etc.). That said, just like with any other piece of furniture, I'd recommend putting some kind of felt or rubber adhesive on the bottom of the legs in order to protect your floors from that possibility. Thanks Chrissy! You're right that a queen size mattress would be a bit small to use with an adjustable base, though it works just fine when lying flat. With the way that an adjustable base beds the mattress, you'll use 2-4 more inches of length when the head is fully elevated than you will when it is flat. This is one reason we recommend that people who are considering an adjustable base choose a slightly longer mattress than they would otherwise need. Of course, the features and functionality or a mattress or base are the same no matter the size, but for consistency, we shoot all our videos with Queen size because it's the most common and popular size.
