Great talk by Dr. Tilak... Just want to correct you @chetchetna There's a difference between cardiologist and cardiothoracic surgeon. A Cardiologist does not open chest and operate on heart. Dr. Tilak is cardiologist, he is not a heart surgeon. He doesn't take heart in his hands. So the video should be titled as Day in Life of Cardiologist rather than Heart Surgeon as mentioned in bio.

There are many types of surgeries like Open heart surgeries, Minimally invasive cardiac surgery that are completely under the domain of cardiac surgeons because they are trained for it very hard for years. There's no way cardiologist can cut the patient. But having said that, the reverse scenario where Cardiac surgeons performing Interventional procedures can be seen in UK and US..
Vaibhav Namdev like I said before cardiologist can perform minor surgeries such as entering a pacemaker. They do fellowships like electrophysiology or interventional cardiology to do that. Those fellowships may take 1-2 years. So yes they can preform surgery !!

Will take 5.5+3+3 yrs excluding drop years for entrance exams at all three levels. Salary of a doctor depends on the city your working in and your individual performance as a doctor. Your MBBS, MD and many times even DM colleges will not influence your salary once you've finished super speciality.
@@animelover727 You will never see physics and mathematics after your 12 th standard and NEET UG. Post graduation exams include the 19 MBBS subjects which you will study in 5.5 yrs, and super speciality exams includes your speciality of choice in which you do PG.
