Beautiful product! What I've been thinking of making is a bench strop as a final step for my various types of kitchen knives. While I'd love the make it from the shell cordovan, do you find there are enough practical performance advantages compared to using something like a horse butt strip? (Size would only be say - 10" x 3"). Would appreciate your thoughts.
