Man I'll never forget my first time walking into the kingdome as a kid. I love the nation bring introduced to Bill the Beer man in this game, what a local legend
We see people talk about Russell Wilson and D.K. Metcalf being a great QB/WR duo, but Dave Krieg and Steve Largent made magic happen in the early days of the Seahawks.
Don't mention Steve largent and DK Metcalf in the same sentence, I dare you ! You comparing a very good player to one of the GOAT'S ? C'MON maan ! watch your mouth. This is coming from a Chargers fan, Steve largent 'lit our asses' up every year twice a year, well Steve did that to everybody, I'm just talking about my beloved charges
Thank you so much for the contents!! 💚💙💚💙OMG I’ve never been in the kingdome so getting the “experience” through these videos hearing the crowd just leaves goosebumps!! This is LOUD!! 💚💙💚💙💚I love the 12’s!!
Me too! But my Grandma was out of town. The TV at our house was a small black and grandma had a huge color TV, so understandably my bro and I were like, "Ummm, let's watch it at grandmas's!".
As a Bronco fan during that time,Jim Zorn or Dave Krieg to HOFer Steve Largent gave me nightmares. Playing the old Kingdome, loudest indoor stadium. Karl Mecklenburg,John Elway's rookie year. Randy Gradishar's last year.
Watched this game at the San Antonio USO. On town pass from AF Basic Training. Feeling a little homesick, but this game, and these Seahawks made me forget that. There were only a few Hawk fans there, but we introduced them to the 12th Man! To this day, Dave Krieg is my favorite Seahawk! Wherever you are, Dave, Thank you!
How cool! I was at this game and have 4 reels on super eight. They handed us two placards with the white and blue sides so we could do awesome waves around the stadium.
Thanks for posting. Seminal moment in Seahawks history. Never got to see the game. Surprising there was 4000 no shows, but it was somewhat of an up and down regular season.
They talk about "the Wave". The world was introduced to the wave at the 1986 soccer World Cup and called it "the Mexican Wave" This Seahawks game was 1983, it came from Seattle first.
@@rickdarcy8689 Go fyourself dude. Denver in the NHL did the first wave. The A's did the first baseball wave and two weeks later UW did the first college football wave in 1981. The Seahawks started the wave in the NFL. Google it.
2:39 Bob, your first playoff game was in Oakland in 1970. Your first playoff game was your third playoff game overall - the AFC championship game in 1971. You're still a Dolphin all-time great.
I never experienced a Seahawks game at the old Kingdome, but did attend a mariners game late in the 95 season when they were making their first ever division title run in which we hit a ton on homers including a grand slam and I have to say when that place went bonkers there was no sound like it!! Not even Lumen field can replicate it
1:46:11 This is literally the exact thing that happened. The Seahawks beat the Broncos 31-7. They go on to beat the Dolphins 27-20. The Raiders beat the Steelers 38-10. The Raiders and Seahawks match up together in the AFC Championship. The Raiders ended up winning and went on to beat the Redskins in the Super Bowl.
12/24-25/1983....Most horrible weather ever on the Erie lakeshore...two day blizzard, temps around zero, two feet of snow, 50mph winds. Was hard to enjoy this game.
I remember this game came perilously close to being blacked out in Seattle. Several local businesses agreed to guarantee the sellout so the game could televised on KING-TV.
So crazy that the commentators had only on microphone ..how the games has changed ...except for those damn 12'$ they are still awesome...love myself some Seahawks !!!
These teams had a look that was classic, masculine, and handsome looking. And then they decided to change it to something... cute. I would even say pretty. They look pretty now.
So sad that we only got 1 year of healthy Curt Warner. After he tore his ACL he was never the Curt Warner we see here. He was lucky to play again after the injury he suffered.
This was the best opp’t the SeaHags had to make Super Bowl. Looking back Krieg was pretty good, Ground Chuck was boooooooorringggggg. Funny to see Largent & Harden out there with the collision they had later. Largent WON!
So this is why John Elway traded for Russell Wilson, couldn't get over losing this game and had to try to stick it to the Seahawks haha, or Maybe it was 48, ha Who Cares Elway overpaid for a QB past his Prime.
Could you upload some games of New England Patriots in the Belichick-Brady era???. I´m interested in seasons 2001 until 2010, i can´t find a lot of them
I remember this game as a kid. I was 9 years old, had just got back home from my mom's parents house as was our custom on Christmas Eve.

Big difference between entertainers and Champions.
Your first duo can now be changed to Smith and Metcalf
A good Congressman, too.
Kreig was mistake prone, Largent was not.
I fucking love the kingdome chant "GO SEAHAWKS "

1:27:25 - The great Charlie Jones with a classic line, "There a two categories of kick returners, the quick and the retired."
Norm Johnson my favorite Seahawk Kicker
He used to own a sports card shop in the Crossroads mall in Bellevue, Wa back in the 90's, and he ripped me off. 😅 total scumbag.
I watched this game at my Grandma's house as we celebrated our Christmas gathering.
Me too! But my Grandma was out of town. The TV at our house was a small black and grandma had a huge color TV, so understandably my bro and I were like, "Ummm, let's watch it at grandmas's!".
Wow Bart you have been on a roll, great upload, thanks
Thank you posting all of these great games
As a Bronco fan during that time,Jim Zorn or Dave Krieg to HOFer Steve Largent gave me nightmares. Playing the old Kingdome, loudest indoor stadium. Karl Mecklenburg,John Elway's rookie year. Randy Gradishar's last year.
I had nightmares about Elway and the rest. They had some epic battles.
Randy's last game
Loved Dave Kreig the OG of Seahawks qb's

I was at this game! Thx for posting this.
Playoff game on Christmas Eve would be awesome- might explain the few no shows though.
I was ten and remember watching this game in Wisconsin home of Dave Krieg where it was absolutely bitter cold here on Christmas Eve 1983 🥶
Loved those classic meshy Seahawks unis of the 80s
I was at this game. Insane fun.
How cool! I was at this game and have 4 reels on super eight. They handed us two placards with the white and blue sides so we could do awesome waves around the stadium.
Coming from a PATs fan, when one thinks of the ideal football crowd, Seattle Seahawks holds the 👑
Thanks for posting. Seminal moment in Seahawks history. Never got to see the game. Surprising there was 4000 no shows, but it was somewhat of an up and down regular season.
It was snowing in Western Washington that day.
Loved those Hawk uniforms...
Wish they kept those.
Too cool hearing Charlie Jones👍👍👍
They talk about "the Wave". The world was introduced to the wave at the 1986 soccer World Cup and called it "the Mexican Wave" This Seahawks game was 1983, it came from Seattle first.
Wrong! Originated at UW in the late 70's

Kurt Warner was a great high school player in WV.
Amazingly quiet by comparison of today's games

Yeah, in the Raider game you could hear on tv, " Watch the pitch to 33!" Howie Long stuffed DR, Dan to end the Seahawks chance to win.
The Raiders wanted Seattle though. And they played like it.
I think it was 30-3 over Seattle.
12/24-25/1983....Most horrible weather ever on the Erie lakeshore...two day blizzard, temps around zero, two feet of snow, 50mph winds. Was hard to enjoy this game.

The last game for randy gradishar
The Curt Warner RB was solid
6:59 Nice hat, TJ
So crazy that the commentators had only on microphone ..how the games has changed ...except for those damn 12'$ they are still awesome...love myself some Seahawks !!!
What nice uniforms teams had back then. Especially Seattle in the AFC. These ugly USFL tight ugly pajamas suck bigtime!
These teams had a look that was classic, masculine, and handsome looking. And then they decided to change it to something... cute. I would even say pretty. They look pretty now.
AFC West had great and unique unis and color schemes. Only the Raiders and Chiefs stayed the same.
Dafuq? Why are you guys paying so much attention to uniforms? This is football, not a damn runway show. Go back to your knitting circles.
Warner was a beast
Kenny Easley
So sad that we only got 1 year of healthy Curt Warner. After he tore his ACL he was never the Curt Warner we see here. He was lucky to play again after the injury he suffered.
30 years before Super Bowl XLVIII
Putting Elway in at the end of the game...... 😂
This was the best opp’t the SeaHags had to make Super Bowl. Looking back Krieg was pretty good, Ground Chuck was boooooooorringggggg.

Curt Warner 😅

John Elway had nothing to do with the Wilson trade.
Elway didn’t trade for Russell Wilson
I think that was pretty dumb on broncos not playing Elway in his rookie season
Could you upload some games of New England Patriots in the Belichick-Brady era???. I´m interested in seasons 2001 until 2010, i can´t find a lot of them
