I actually sold it right before I moved to Japan last June. I plan on getting another one in a year or two so I am just having fun making these videos while I save up again :)
favourite food from a country i wasnt born in? probably most of the foods from the philippines or china, they have similar cuisines, def worth exploring, like how its worth exploring the different aesthetics of the 86 platform 😅
hahaha. I have not tried food from the Philippines (unless you count jolllybee) but authentic Chinese food is Gas. I was fortunate enough to grow up near Houston which has a Huge China Town so I got to eat all sorts of amazing food!
i grew up in melbourne australia with hella asian parents, dads spanish filo mix and WAS a chef who specialised in filo cuisine, and my mum is puerto rican chinese mix, but she lived in japan for half her childhood and teen life, so i was exposed to hella asian cuisine. tbh add japanese cuisine to my top picks, its too hard to pick just one. aint gonna lie, my mums gyoza and takoyaki hits DIFFERENT, cant believe japanese wasnt on my list in the first comment. if you get to try filo cuisine, i recommend trying bisaya dishes over tagalog dishes, tagalog dishes are usually packed with msg and sugar while bisaya dishes feel more pure and soulful, less artificial i suppose. look into trying beef caldareta, bistek, or adobo of any kind if you can, they go so hard. filo food is a mixture of the most random dishes from all over the world, its too fire my guy!
