Yes it was 126k 2003 745i still running strong. I change everything myself. Never had a leak. Never smoked. Thank God I'm the third owner because the second owner didn't know what they was doing, not a dent, one little chip and everybody that sees it or you sell ing it or what I say. Hell no😅😅😅😅

I’ve owned my 1995 730i since the year 2002, I had looked after it for its previous owner for three years and believe this or not he gave it to me. It did need a replacement engine soon due to the nikasil problem but I sourced a new alusil engine from Germany far cheaper than buying it in the UK and it has been a near faultless car and it has now covered 255’000 miles and I love it to bits. It looks good and the interior is in near perfect condition and people who ride in it are so impressed with it. I’m lucky that I’m able to look after it as I’m an independent BMW repair specialist.

I have heard from local car enthusiasts that the M62 3.5l V8 engine was shit from the beginning. I have a year 2000 E38 730d, it's a very reliable car. My car has now over 401 000 km on the odometer, I use it as a daily driver.

in case of total main brake failure (severed or rusted main brake line) your only chance of stopping the E65 - or any other modern car for that matter - is by applying the handbrake since the electronic shifter will not shift into park if the car is moving. So it is a valid test.
E34Benzin on the older cars you can, it won't slow down as much as with the parking brake but it does increase the friction. Well you can choose to either mess up your transmission or have a high speed crash...I think the choice is obvious.
In the end of the video on wet road. He used the park brake to stop ? What does when u press the electronic park brake when rolling at speed does it stop the car instead of using the normal leg brake ?
I had an E38 740iL and an E66 760Li for 5-10 years each. The E66 is much more stable at highway speed. You never miss the sideways shaking of SUVs and other high cars in corners after driving 150mph in both. If you like a sportier car - drive a F02. Not as floaty as an E66 and more tech.

the thing is that EDC will make damping stiffer thus eliminate bodyroll. However, in e65 bodyroll is eliminated not by increasing stifness, but by engaging the active stabilizer. So, e65 don`t lean even though it is soft, but if e38 does not lean - it means it has rock hard dampers or springs.

Yes, e38 and e39 look very good, definately the bests cars of bmw, but I dont think that e65 is so bad as always said. Interrior is bad, that i admit, but outside, not so bad if you compare it to e60.

The facelift significantly looks better. E38 does have that "classic" but awesome look to it.

not exactly keyless go. You still have to insert the key to start it.
