    I've had a Garberg a few ys ago, Stainless, an absolutely trustworthy knife; for my hands the best handle i've ever had on a knife!
    A buddy would have it, so i gave it away.. bad decision..
    Take a Kansbol after that, and that has obviously the same handle, but it feels complete different. Didn't use it because i have a old 2000 also.
    So it's a backup.
    Then i tried a Robust as replacement, and even it is Carbon, that's the heck! Incredible small and sturdy one for cheap 13.-€.. sure 91mm is less, but for most tasks it is ok!
    On the G.i have a huge factory V-edge, and because i sharpen with hands i let it that way. Now i see in different newer Vids it isn't longer that way?!
    Greetings from South Germany.

      Garberg handle is great! Used the knife today to make a fire in a hobo stove. The handle dimensions and the weight of this knife is just great. Great knife in Swedish snow conditions as well!
      Nice that the Robust works well for you! Very good price quality!!
      Not sure if Mora adjusted the Scandi Grind on the Garberg.
      Cheers!

    • @FAngus-ly8lk
      @FAngus-ly8lk 2 місяці тому +1

      Is a ferro rod really necessary with every knife you own? As far as I'm concerned, the answer is no. Nor is it necessary to have some kind of sharpening strip on the sheath. Usually these are fairly cheesy items. This knife is very stout, with a keen scandi-grind - it will hold its edge better than most without having to sharpen it in the field.

    • @cautious1343
      @cautious1343 2 місяці тому

      @@FAngus-ly8lk a Ferro rod, and a sharpening device is extremely useful. Especially for your main knife. You gotta be one of the dumbest people on earth not to see that.
