Вставка
- Опубліковано 6 сер 2022
- In this video I'll go over all the steps for building a shop or garage for automotive work. I'll start by explaining the foundation work including grading, footings, rebar, compaction than I'll include the work for framing the building including base rails, posts, hat channels, beams from there how to put together roof trusses, how to raise them and install them on the posts than onto installing reflective insulation, sheeting on the sides, sheeting for the roof and finally installing trim pieces as well.

In the future you might want to consider adding a gutter system to catch rain water into a 10 to 15K gallon tank with a pump system so that you will have additional water for your avacado trees when water is scarce.
Very Good advice.
It might be illegal to capture Rainwater even so it would have to have a permit.
It is California you know.
@@FredTheLutinoCocatiel yeah some states have these crazy ass laws about rain water harvesting but I believe he should be fine since it's for his own orchard of trees and it looks like he already has a water tank on his property.
@@FredTheLutinoCocatiel Really...... God that is complete madness.
@@MannyFontes1968 The world's gone mad when you can't harvest a natural resource vital for our own existence.
Nice! $1k a DAY!?? I'm glad you had a friend who could help... "I get by with a little help from my friend"🎵
My husband was a roofer at one time. It's already tough minus the heatwave😫 Glad you made it. That's a good friend
yes it was tough work, kudos to your husband and ty for watching.
This is a channel that i forgot why i started following, but I'm glad I'm here to watch the journey
Glad you are back for more videos :)
WOW 4,000 more subscribers and you got a MILLION. You Will Do It.
two more weeks probably :)
This is one of the coolest video's I've ever watched. Like coolest "any" video I've ever watched. Well done sir...
I appreciate that, glad you liked it buddy :)
That signature dance move was impressive. xD
haha I have practice :)
Thanks for stealing my signature dance move😐. At least you do it with your clothes on so it is a little different than mine but basically the same....
Hey Eric, I was gonna do it exactly like you but figured my neighbors would probably have me locked up :)
I’ve had a 10k Bendpak assemetric for over 15 years, never any issues. Great well built lift IMHO.
All that climbing up and down looks exhausting. Good job!
Nice man. I'm proud of you guys who are able to get your own shops.
Thanks, its been a long time in the making :)
Love you bro, you're the man. Such an inspiration what you've been up to the last 10 years
I appreciate that, thanks for watching :)
What an amazing story.
Versatube has a manufacturing plant in my backyard. Very interesting to see this kit being assembled.
Thank you for your 03 monte carlo video , after years of researching what was wrong with it while it ran you finally gave me the answer , it still runs but it's time for the headgasket job thank you for giving me hope
Congratulations on your new building
Thank you!
Just when I’m not looking you do something totally awesome! This is going to be great! Thanks
hehe, glad you liked it. cheers
That's awesome!!! Glad to see your project build well on its way to completion. It looks really good, job well done!!!
You are an inspiration sir✊🏾✊🏾
Spend the money on a challenger. I’ve worked in shops and used almost every kind of lift. Rotary, challenger, Mohawk, bendpak, atlas. The challengers were always my favorite by far.
Congratulations on your project. A lot of hard work. Great information. Looking forward to the next steps. Good luck with everything.
thank you, appreciated.
U really make it look fun .. Building looking good .. Can wait to see the finished product with lifts and tooling. Nice🙏👍👍👍👍😀
It only "looks" fun on camera :) stay tuned for videos :)
That's awesome man can't wait for the projects u got planned for the shop
thanks, too many projects as usual but they're all fun :)
Looks great! Looking forward to future videos in new garage.

Thank you, I am very happy to have it finally done :)
Glad your still making videos keep up the great work
Love the video, you deliver great content and information.
Thank you , I'm glad you like the content.
This is amazing 👏
:-)
Awesome 👍 man, your own work shop, and building by the way you want it,is amazing...
Great to see you back R & R! The lifts that Car Wizard uses appear to be pretty good.
Looks good. Built on a solid foundation.
yup that thing isn't going anywhere :)
Can't wait to see the shop when it's done
It shouldn't be too long, epoxy flooring, electrical wiring, lights and a lift :)
20:50 🤣💕👍
Great job, that looks like a lot of work, especially in July 🥵🔥🌡
Nice to see the build
happy you enjoyed watching it.
That's a BIG building! Signed Capt.Obvious :>)
Looks great. Nice work.
Thank you! Cheers!
Awesome, can't wait to see the finished product, awesome video.
You think we could get a run down of cost for this whole project?
You know, for us dreamers out there dreaming of building something like this!
Absolutely, I will be doing a video on the cost and how I plan to pay for it in the near future :)
Hello there , I Guess you are already a millionaire for sure !
@@myRatchets I'd also love to know the estimated cost if you hired people to do it all.
Well done, fun to follow along.
Thanks spelunkerd, glad you found it fun :)
It's all looking good in the neighborhood!
yup :)
Awesome!
Awesome job!⚓
No buses my way unfortunately but maybe in the future.
Hats off to you, nice job..Yeah, reflective material, in the summer, can turn you into a giant hot dog. Just a little disappointed that you didn't install a panoramic window. That is beautiful scenery.
I'll be installing a deck on that side of the building later to hang out on and also use as storage, a window would have taken up too much cabinet space.
Great that you were able to build your own shop!!! The Goonzquad would have milked 50 videos out of this build
I want to go onto auto repair videos so crammed this all in one video to get it done.
Awesome video!! It’s all coming together. & love your brand of excitement!!👏👏
Haha glad you liked it 🙂
@@myRatchets I've also had the pleasure of driving an RS6. It's like you're warping time. So glad you have a passion to keep these Supercars alive. It'll be terrific content👍👍
Lookin good!
Congratulations on the project!
thank you, cheers
Was expecting "RnW" for the artwork though. Lol
Loved All It !!! One Hundred Trillion LIkes !!! Much better than any of my lego projects
Nice work! Thanks, this was very informative.

Darn early summer for that work 🔥🔥🔥🔥🌞
yes it was sizzling out there
Congratulations!
thank you :)
I'm always down for a little Junior High humor!
Nice work.
thanks
Congrads, awesome project, @1st i was expecting you to pour your own slab - my guess is the slab was priciest part - They Did a Great Job- been their, done that
AWESOME!!! WTG!!
thank you
he tells everything clearly, you need to build one for yourself too
Nice size shop! I'm jealous and need one of my own. 👍
Hope you get it one day soon :-)
@@myRatchets thank you and best of luck in your new garage! -Glen
Congrats bro.

You're a regular Bansky with that spray paint 🤣
Was wondering how the shop project was getting along...glad to see it's done!
haha art might be my true calling lol
Love the jokes! I've done some summer roofing in the humid Southeast... No fun!
ouch humid and hot, thats rough

If I didn't know better.. I think that's San Diego east county area....?
oh look the Avacado farmer builds a shop
Love to watch your videos. You bring good content and information.
What size is your garage and how wide has to be the lift post's thanks .
Best of Luck
thanks
Great job bro, I hope am near to you so I can help you in building your work shop.
Congrats an we are waiting for equipment installation.
I have one point if you used sandwich panel single skin its easier than putting insulation and aluminum sheet any way work is done .
yea, I just had to get whatever came with the versatube kit. But yea its all done and over with now.
Might set some steel plate with D rings next time so you have anchors in the floor to attach things to.
yea good idea.
congrats
Thank you
I see a very large set of....eyes!👀
or crooked B***ies
I have never seen any metal roofing cut after it is in place (your gable end walls). That is really doing it the hard way. I don't envy you hanging over the edge to do it either. In tight spaces at times a man lift can be a better option as the bucket rotates to place the truss. Makes it ideal for precise placing in tight areas. For light work like that they are perfect and have plenty of load capacity to lift the truss especially as you do it from ground operation unless you have three or more people. Good thing it worked out pretty well for you as wind can ruin a lot of expensive metal in a hurry. I liked your rebar schedule but I go #5 or #6 so that the clods placing it have a harder time tromping it to the ground between dobes (for that reason I place them at every intersection as well). They don't pull that on commercial jobs with inspectors there that have the contractor jack hammer any substandard out at their own cost but the homeowner has a very hard time finding a contractor and crew that know what they are doing and do it conscientiously. Too late now but I also would have put a grid of steel in your lift footings and tied that to the slab grid to spread the load. You are going to enjoy the space for sure.
Which kit do you recommend for commercial jobs
What would it cost and which package would you suggest buying ?
What’s your opinion on range rovers are they good or bad?
Wow🤗🤗🤗
Wow! You really made it happen. Outstanding job! How long did it take to get to this point?
It was a few weeks, we didn't work all of the days though. Worked two days, recovered from heat exhaustion a day so on and so forth lol
Cool that you've got a drone now. In the setting look for image stabilization lol. The UA-cam shows 4k away from 1 million.
Figure 1 week more for the milestone?
el cheapo drone, two more weeks for 1M subs :)
I may have missed the square footage of this build.. without considering the cost of the vehicle lifts, how much to erect the building, including concrete and concrete labor? Just curious.. I’m contemplating a similar idea. Nice work!
Do you have any plans to install an AC unit for the harsh summers? Also solar panels would be ideal for your location.
If I build an office probably, but the insulation helps a lot .
Well done 👏

howdy, iv watch a lot from your video and learn a lot thank you so much.. we just put up a metal garage and man is it loud ! in your video, you have put up reflective insulation. would you have done anything dif? would you suggest it or something dif thanks keep up the videos
I would have made the entry door bigger than 10x10 thats for sure :) love the reflective insulation. Of course I wish it could be bigger but thats subjective, all else I'm ok with.
Heat like that it's no joke seriously some Gatorade is needed to add some electrolyte you won't get tired as fast.
Coconut water is actually what we drank alot of, it was very helpful. Cheers
Greetings from Stockholm Sweden Europe 😎👍🏻🇺🇸🇸🇪
Hi Sweden, glad to have you here.
@@myRatchets 996 - Very close now to 1mn! OMG 😎
Where did you buy the materials? Mainly asking for the metal framing pieces.. great job btw
998k.... on your way!
Now 999k
This is like watching an odometer roll back to 0! Lol
how long did it take to build?
What's the size and height of this building?
Grear build, but why a tin can box? Wht not plywood and finished walls with proper insulation?
how much did this shop cost you and what state are you in
gutters in the future? overhead crane or gantry ?
gutters for sure, maybe an overhead crane too
Would you buy versa tube again?
For sure for a smaller building like 600-800sqft or less, for a building my size I don't know. Maybe if I could have installers do it for a reasonable price !
letsgooooo
👍👍
Can you give us an update on your avocados? Have you been able to sell them to local restaurants, etc.?
I've been selling them to the local taco shops, next years harvest will be bigger than my current customer base so will have to find more ways to sell them. Over all they are growing nicely :)
Every time i see your videos, it seems you have blue scrubs (or different color)on. I guess i should turn up the screen light. LOL
Doesn't look level or was that the angle?
Just the camera angle
