Great work man. This is called dedication - those years and hundreds of workouts that people dont see when watching videos and judge only the end product. Cant even memorize how many failure and weak sessions I had as well before I reached anything. Than comes light short guy who is able to train twice more frequently and progress often instantly and judge heavyweight elements, form and progression. All I want to say bro is: They dont knoow man! And they will never know how hard this shit is for us! Respect to u!

Been following your progress for a while and I have to agree with other comments, for your height and weight getting the planche is incredible.
I'm a couple inches taller and was slightly heavier back in high school. I was frustrated by not being able to hold a cross on the rings although I was very strong. My coach, who was a physics teacher, calculated that if I placed the rings inside my wrists instead of 2" forward in my palms I probably had enough strength to hold it. Sure enough by using a step and placing the rings as suggested I could hold it all day. It took a couple of years to be able to move it out those 2" though.
That's why you don't see many gymnasts our size.

can be achieved with patience, consistency, work ethic, analysis, and
    enthusiasm. Thank you

  • @Slone1337

    Hey Daniel,
Not often does a video give me a reason to take the time to comment. So first of all:
    Video presentation: sick!
Clarity of instruction and experience: crystal.
Quality of free information and potential benefit to viewers: fucking dope!
Your level of individual perseverance: Tibetan monk.
Now for why I'm commenting at all. I'm 25, a trainer/coach (I prefer teacher) and my training style continues to grow and develop to be less and less "sexy" over the years. I prefer to preach, teach, and practice reality instead of flashy gimmicks. I see your instruction and training approach is similar and potentially even more so.
I'm sorry you had to experience such an inhibiting injury, your ability to overcome it and push through to accomplish your goal is nothing short of inspiring. With that being said, I cannot emphasize enough how INSANELY GRATEFUL I am for 2:52!! One of my biggest pet peeves and something I find myself preaching far too often is about safely returning a barbell to the rack. I've explained to people far too often, "Stay standing straight. Walk straight forward until you physically can't because you hit the rack. Then simply squat down into the pins. DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES try to set the bar INTO the PIN specifically. I don't care how fatigued you are. I don't care how badly you want that weight off your chest. One day, especially when you're extra fatigued, you will miss. When you miss with something heavy and your knee jerk reaction is to correct, you're going to hurt something. You don't often get hurt during your actual exercise. You more often get hurt from poor habits before and after your actual exercise."
I apologize for the novel. But I'll have you know that I will be using 2:52 for the rest of my days as an absolutely impeccable example of one of the things I preach most to keep my clients safe. I can't thank you enough for this resource and again I'm sorry you had to experience it.
    Forever grateful,
    Trevor
P.S. As someone ~85kg and also 6' I am definitely inspired by the information and success of your planche progression. I'm just starting my journey into gymnastics training and have had a hope to prove that tall people can master difficult bodyweight challenges like this. Thus the reason why I clicked the video in the first place. Thanks again!

Really great, I check like every two days if you uploaded new videos! Haha keep it up mate you are a real source of inspiration
PS: Mate, I hope you know it but you are gifted when it comes to genetics... I mean look at you, you have a volume even guys with weights would love to have, and you keep being low on body fat! That's amazing.... Myself, my muscle gain is extremely slow and I will never be able to have such a low body fat as you do... I can have it for like 1-2 monthes but then my body starts to save up fat again... Hahaha w-e

Congratulations! As usual you've posted one of the more competent and proficient fitness videos that I've found. The "unimportant" stuff-mindset, reasons for failure, distractions, the pain and snail-like speed of progress- is eye-popping , revealing, and some of the most helpful stuff I've heard because that it was what reality, and life itself, is all about. Great job!

Just want to express my feelings about your video. I've been waiting for it for a long period of time. I respect you so much for your dedication, your patience and determination towards this movement. We all know that the planche may be an easy quest for overall small people, lightweight and ABOVE ALL, no legs people. You're just one of the "so rare" proofs that it is achievable even when our physical conditions are not favorable. Your struggle have been long and really hard but you finally did it, that's the most important ! Thank you for what you do, keep sharing your experience, I'm impressed.

    Thank you Danial!
You taught me so many things throughout your video, staying dedicated is one thing. Being beat up is another, but you taught me that, how you should enjoy the daily moments when you train. It is true, there will be downfalls, but you have shown me that you rise up even stronger than before. You also taught me that, being consistency is key.
Continue to do what you do, keep inspiring and thank you for your tips and sharing it genuinely throughout all your videos. Thank you once again!

I am usually not the type of guy to comment, however I have been watching your videos since a long time and kept coming back to it. I am finally subscribed and I just wanted to say that you are amazing! You are really a motivation for calisthenic guys. What is really unique about you is that you are tall and have a high weight range still you accomplish to do these things. I am 5'11, 87 kgs so I am really inspired by you. You are perhaps the only calisthenic guy with strong thick legs which are proportionate with your upper body. I have implemented your leg workout routine and seriously after recovery from just 3 routines I got the tear drop in my quads visible with my calves out even more, along with other leg muscles. Keep up the good work man you are helping a lot of people!

I'm a little late to the party 😅.
Thanks for sharing this video. I'm just starting out in Calisthenics and haven't been able to get a tuck planche yet - my legs swing forward as soon as my feet leave the ground.
I'm working on rings to build up my tendons and straight arm strength but, I'm getting old so it's gonna take a while.
Nothing worthwhile is ever easy 😅

I don't know anything about your sport but you are the epitome of GRIT and determination......absolutely amazing on your pure commitment on a goal or dream quest and embracing failure as a tool to getting closer on your achievement. I aspire myself to do an IRONMAN race in KONA Hawaii where they hold the world championships . I don't know how or where to begin but I know I have to adopt your attitude. Thank you for sharing your story.

Thanks Daniel. This is probably my favorite video that you've done so far. I've been doing body weight exercises for just over 5 months. While I've been pleased with some of the progress, there are still so many things that seem so far out of reach. I'm also tall, over 6' tall. I think that it makes some of it more difficult but I'm finding that nothing is impossible. Thanks for the extra inspiration.
