Falsettos went so fucking hard. Best fucking cast for these roles no doubt (perfect vocals, perfect looks, perfect acting), three wholesome couples in different forms, wholesome father-son, mother-son and stepfather/s-son relationships, wholesome friendships between men and women, fun and gorgeous but absolutely fucking heartbreaking. They fucking did that.
Something I love in the chess game that you didn't include: When Whizzer starts singing "Whizzer's supposed to make the dinner..." etc and Marvin starts making gestures mocking him like "blah blah whatever you say" He's so childish!
I love how the “love” of “I love you” was dissonant/a minor interval (I don’t know music theory) and then it resolves, just like Whizzer and Marvin’s love.
