- Hey guys! I don't know what got into me. It's only the beginning of August but I caught the Summerween vibes and decided to do buy some spooky yarn and start a little Halloween-inspired blanket.
Get cozy, get a project to work on, and hang out and crochet with me. I'll get you caught up on what I've been up to this summer and the plans we have for the rest of the season!

The Black, Orange and White is pretty too
I like Robin. She is easy to understand.
T-shirt yarn is good for baskets and rugs. The colors are great.
Yes!
Ooh and maybe you could make a hanger for one your plants?
I like that drapy c2c with the Latte yarn. It's pretty.
I've been listening to you while I was cleaning a room. I'm a Houseman. The timing is perfect. I'm just about done. Thank you for your time.
That halloween blanket is really looking nice!! Love the colors!! Good luck with your schooling!! I have a lot of respect for nurse practitioners!!
Thanks so much!!
I like to make baskets with tshirt yarn . I also make plant pot covers with them and baskets to hold my crochet hooks 😊
Hooked by Robin is a brilliant teacher, she is the reason I can crochet!!
I love the blanket your working on that is made with the Caron Cake Latte. I love the colors and the texture. It's beautiful. I don't feel like the stitches are to loose but I guess that's a preference. I love it as it is. It's just Beautiful.
I like your pattern. The blanket is really nice for Halloween!
The blanket made with the cake looks like a shawl.
It does! It could be one!
I have made great baskets with t-shirt yarn. Hobbii has a great pattern
I love Furls hooks, but I do the knife hold.
I haven’t done a granny cover in years. The Orange one is giving life. I really like all of the ones you’ve shown.
I love the 🧡 🖤🤍 blanket and I am amazed that you can crochet and speak, congratulations on finishing the classes! An excellent Friday is having my favourite snack and my favourite hobby 🎉🎉🎉
Tshirt yarn you can make baskets, hanging plant holders, a bag or grocery bag. A carpet, laptop case, phone holder, cover for a round seat like a stool or seat. Steering wheel cover. I love it, it's easy to work with, and stitches are tight
Ok, so working on a 4 row repeat featuring the star stitch….thanks for the company!
Love that yarn! Making my oldest daughter a beetlejuice afghan for the fall!!!
Love these videos, Nick. Enjoy Cancun!
I am 75. I use Bates and Boye. Prayers for you to finish your program with ease. I was a NICU nurse for 43 years. My GP has a FMP in his office. .It is great.
Best of luck with your fabulous career! Such worthwhile work. We seem to be in need of more doctors and nurse practitioners so, thank you.
I am interested in your temperature blanket…will it be one blanket in the end? Love your colors, not boring at all. I’m doing 4 temperature blankets-one per season (more manageable sizes🥸).
It looks great. I like the orange over the fuzzy one. Just personal preference.
Also if you want a really soft acrylic, I Love This Yarn from Hobby Lobby is by far the softest acrylic I’ve crocheted with. Just finished a witch/sorting hat with it and I loved working with it.
I love my Clovers. I tried a Furls but had to return for a refund….didn’t like it at all. Your tales of FNP training pleasantly reminded me of my X-ray training, having to do clinicals, rotating through different departments in the hospital, ER, OR, inpatients, Radiation Therapy, Nuclear Medicine, CT, MRI, etc. It was a lot of fun. Wish I was young again 🙂
Congrats on degree!! And thank you for C2C pattern link. I am part of Project Linus and a few in group make the traditional C2C, will share with them 😊
New to channel - TY for sharing.
I tried that corner to corner, but failed big time, just too hot here right now, but did crochet along with you this morning. I like Robin too.
Hi everyone! I’m Dutch, so I love the orange yarn!
Heeeey Erik! It really is the perfect color for the Netherlands! I'll send you some if you want!
@@URBANFARMBOYSthat is really nice.
@@URBANFARMBOYS ooh that would be great . Perfect for making a shawl to bring to a national sports match!
@@erikprovoost1036 send me a message on Instagram @nickasarbata if you truly want some and we can coordinate!
I don’t have instagram 😢
Awesome Halloween colored project! Congrats on finishing summer school - one step closer to get your nurse practitioner license! 👏🏻
Latte cakes one of my favorites, wooden furls perfect for it! Of course I love my furls cause I’m a flute/knife holder and they work well for me, they are not for everyone
I am working on a blanket Called Christmas Cookie blanket. It is was designed by the Crochet Crowd.
Hi Nick , I was knitting on some socks while listening to you and thoroughly enjoyed your stories!
I love that crochet hook!!!❤❤❤ ! Love the afghan!
Morning from Bend Oregon.
Hey Oregon!!
Just a an idea . I used latte cake with a cloud cake and it was so squishy. I used a 6 1/2. I love it and I am doing a CC but not robins CC.
My son is a nurse practitioner. We’re in Florida. He actually opened his own practice in his thriving. He’s located in high Springs Florida is adding onto his practice. Bought a lot next-door. Just an idea. No shift work.
Yes! Welcome to the spooky club, we are happy to have you 🎃
I love altknots, It’s the first crochet channel i ever followed, and still so unique.
Your blanket is looking gorgeous!
I’m working on a candy corn sweater with Herrschnerr’s Halloween yarn 🦇
I’m glad your schooling and job are going well and that you get some time off, too. 👍🏻
Thanks for the video, i like having both long and short videos to choose from, depending on what I have time for in the moment.
Happy Summerween! 💀
Hi, Nick,
So glad you're progressing well in your program. NPs are great, we have 3 that work for our office part time (I work in hospice - the NPs do face-to-face patient exams) as a second job.
Love your Halloween blankie!
Have a great day. 🐞
Thanks for the chat, Nick. I worked on my moss-stitch square (by Emma C Makes) while listening. I prefer long videos, too. 😊
Nick is your mailbox like a tiny one for letters/post cards? Can it receive a package?
It's small but anything larger they'll hold it for me and I can pick it up! So no size restrictions for sending things! You must have REALLY big postcards where you live 🙂
Thankyou. Just started a "Corner to Corner" Granny square blanket, grey black pink. Looked up a tutorial on it so that I could crochet and watch this UA-cam video😊
very beautiful ❤❤
Have you tried Prym ? Really have been enjoying them thought that I would not like them, but they are similar to the clover, slip less then plastic furls. Like the wooden furls less slip.
Caron latte cakes is classified a 5 because of the halo, fuzzy, of the yarn. ❤
Love the Halloween blanket
Crochet Grandma did a tutorial with that tshirt yarn
I am going to try and make a blanket for Boggy Creek Camp.
You are a pencil grip like me. My favorite hooks are Boye with the rubber grip. They are not expensive. Use a 60% off coupon from Joann. They are a must have.
Really enjoy crochet and chat!
Your Halloween blanket is looking great. I’m working on a blanket for one of my granddaughters. I’m using Red Heart Retro Stripes and a soft wave pattern by Crochet Crowd, it’s one of my favorite patterns. 🧶💜🙏🏻
I love local yarns especially Big Twist, Loops & Threads and Hobby Lobby yarns. Love Robin to she is a great teacher.❤❤😊😊
Love her channel as well! Shes awesome!!
The orange black and white blanket is BEAUTIFUL. I love Summerween and Halloween. Lately I have been working on a twin sized C2C blanket for my daughter in Joann’s Big Twist yarn. Cheap and soft. It is probably my favorite bargain brand yarn. Thanks for letting me hang out with you!
Good morning 🥰🥰
Mornin' sunshine!
All you have to say is Hooked by Robin and I know I'll love it 90% of the time! I'm glad I caught this vid because I was wondering what that blanket would look like with other types of yarn. Both look fantastic.
I use 3 strands of Big Twist value held together to make the Mabel blanket by darlingbebrave and It's by far like, my favorite blankets I've ever made. Super Easy and so satisfying if you'd like! I've made like 4 lol.
I’m the same use clover amours day to day. I won a pretty acrylic furls hook my favourite color but it’s way too big for my little hands 😊
Have you ever watched the woman in black from 1989? It's good. Lol I'm in Canada and right how I can only find it on UA-cam. The newer version is good as well but definitely you need to go in open minded. 😊
Just a an idea . I used latte cake with a cloud cake and it was so squishy. I used a 6 1/2 hook . I love it and I am doing a CC but not robins CC.
Hi Nick, a really enjoyable and fun video with you explaining the details of becoming a NP. Living in the UK it gives an insight into the differences of the medical world. Also enjoyed you talking about yout holiday plans with Andrew. I recently went on hoiday in July to south west Wales, Pembrokshire to be exact and sent you a postcard from there. Just wondering if you received it? I also could have done with your medical expertise as three days into the holiday I broke my right foot and spent the rest of the week in a moon boot. Im into my fourth week with it on and it is beginning to heal now. Love all the content you put out on the wide range of interests you have. Have a great summer and a good rest now your school term has ended. ❤ xxx
Hi Nick love these blankets, I really like hooked by Robin she's very easy to follow. I am sending you 2 postcards from my hometown of London UK. I was going to put them both in an envelope and send them but then I thought if I post them separate you'll get the UK stamps etc on them both which will be better. Why two cards, we'll there is so much to see here one is just not enough lol
Posted the cards you should get them soon 😂
Thank you for your video
Blanket amazing
Love the blanket you are working on, I need to check out Hooked on Robin.
Curious about your monthly temperature blanket - what temps do you use for each day?
I am making a monthly one for my daughter who lives in St. Louis and I alternate between low and high temps.
Also making a granny square a day temperature blanket incorporating full moons for each month,
Thanks for the video, love listening to you and I hope you enjoy your days off!😊
love your vids !
Is the blanket a Hooked by Robin pattern?
Can you share the pattern, please?
