Always had a soft spot for the Excel. A pleasure to see the story unfold. It's the nitty gritty that makes them so engaging. Keep up the progress and thanks for sharing.
Paul, no way you passed the excuse of picking up your mom.Wonder how the wife liked that xD! Great video man, and do be anxiouis about the camera this info is amazing.
Oh, I really did need a car to take Mum places. The Excel is cheap to insure on a classic policy and pretty much depreciation proof. The ride quality is still great on this generation of Lotus and Mum genuinely finds it a comfortable car for longer distances.

Also props to your mom! I don't know any 92 women willing to sit in a lotus so...

@@EVguru With the body style is there more foot room? Usually the seat it further back so you can really sprawl out and relax.
Well done. You have inspired me to pay mine some well-earned attention
Obtaining parts downunder is somewhat difficult
Keep at it, they're a very rewarding car to drive.
@@EVguru Yeah. I have a TVR Griffith 500 that I drive the most now but I have owned my Excel for 27 years and love it
