The current bottles smell 90% similar to the vintage ones, but hey, the longevity is still quite good, 6-7 hours max, this fragrance is the true meaning of elegance in a man, even though it has been on the market for 30 years it is still a classic that will never go out of style
Do you happen to have the current formulation? It would be awesome to see a comparison video in the future. I have the current and a 2011 batch one, and I can already tell that the 2011 one is much stronger in the metallic accord and the Chanel aldehydes accords. The current formulation smells a bit more natural and medicinal to my nose. Current formulation still is relevant and awesome.
@@BAGHEERAPROSPER Not willing to spend $80-$100 on a fresh bottle these days. I could try the tester at the store. But it's good to hear the modern bottles are great compared to the vintage.
Long story short I bought about 7 backup bottles of cpe vintage , you right about them not aging well. Something is definetly off, i can barely smell the metallic in it. And no they are not fake , they are the real deal . Also they definetly loose performace , I useto get 7 + hours with vintage bottles , now its more like 3 hours max.
Chanel must use very natural ingredients because their fragrances don't hold up well over time. I wonder how Antaeus does over time...haven't tried too many vintage bottles but the few I've tried seemed good.
I’ve owned a Egoiste Platinum bottle, a 2012 plat Egoiste, and I’ve smelled the modern. They all are super similar, compared to vintage Egoiste to modern. Less metallic today a bit but it’s pretty unmolested by reform

I love the fact that fragrances can remain
So good over such a long period
Especially if they're stored in optimal conditions.

Smells similar to me, both modern and vintage.
@@eaudetreasure still awesome to own the Egoiste Platinum!
First 😁👍
edit: With how good the current ones smell, I can only imagine how good this vintage one smells 👌
I'll have to put it head to head with a fresh tester at the store.
Don't forget to give my life. Unless it hasn't shown up yet. I was the first one🍻
@@eaudetreasure interested to see that 👍
$25!!!!! 🤯
Pronounced Eg - o - east 😊
Aha!
And I've heard it pronounced ego-istay
@@timme2844 Ay-go-east-ay 😂😂
wheres your bottle of ULTRA ZEST? Got one?
Not really interested in that one. I did try the Ultraviolet Red and wasn't impressed. Video on my channel..episode 86.
UB1 = 1997
I just got another bottle, no box. Wonder if I can figure out the date on that one, too.
