Had to do mine differently. I did the squiggle lines on a separate layer. Dupe it then merge the one with layer 1. Then I did the black fills. Layer 3 I did the outside white spots. The layer with the squiggles I did the inside whites and made sure it was on top. Layer 4 I made it a clipping mask to the squiggle layer and did the black airbrushing. That prevented the airbrushing from going outside the squiggle lines. Then of course Gaussian blur.

Having a small issue. The top layer that’s a clipping mask that you use the soft brush on. I did exactly what you did but the black line crossed the figure I made so I don’t know what I did wrong. Any thoughts?
