I think this is the worst ending Aubrey thinks she caused basil's suicide because she bullied him, Kel probably would think that he wasn't a good friend to Basil and Sunny, and especially Hero, losing his girlfriend, her brother, and childhood friend, it would hurt him a lot and probably would get thoughts of ending his life, and if that happens Kel might follow
And when the mom comes to pick up sunny that would hurt knowing you lost both of your kids

yeah this is definitely worse than the bad ending, I mean having two friends commit on the same night along with mari who everyone thinks committed a long time ago. they wouldnt know the truth, and hero would probably blame it on himself knowing since he like feels that Maris death could have been prevented by him.
I had that ending. I thought it would be funny if I went back to sleep after i woke up from the truth. it wasn't haha. i walked back to sunny's house and i picked up the knife because the game usually tells you to. i didn't realize that was the worst ending until i looked it up 😅

For the main route, yes, this is one of the most terrible and tragic endings. But in the Hikikomori route, it hits much harder and more painfully, imho.
Yes, you don't see heartbroken friends cursing themselves for letting it all happen. But the thought that in the Hikikomori route they may see Sunny and Basil for the first and last time, leaving the house in a plastic black bag literally breaks your heart. As well as the fact that they both died alone, filled with self-hatred and an incredibly strong sense of guilt that was already impossible to bear.
And when, in the end, you are already sitting in front of the main menu, you feel nothing but emptiness, hopelessness and deep sadness.
The fact its stated Basil ALWAYS dies at the hikkikomori route, just hurts
I hate the hikikomori route, I felt guilty the whole time and I only did that route to meet perfectheart.
The feeling of guilt invades me, Abby more than scaring me causes me too many questions and of course, going through lost library and fighting phobias doesn't improve the route.
It's a mixture of resentment and guilt.
Even if this route adds much more content and several very good bosses, I am left with the thought that we abandon those who really need us just to rescue a memory of someone who is broken.
I remember getting that ending as my first ending- I was crying for like an hour before realizing that I didn't save :' )

You dont need to since this dosent give you anything however if you dont get the knife you can get the other ending
Luckily there are only 3 endings that have a trophy, the hikomori route ending (neutral), the bad ending (oyasumi) and the good ending.
If you're wondering which is the bad ending I'm referring to is the one where we surrender at the end of the SUNNY route.
I got the other endings and well, that beat me for looking for 100%. 😢
I got this ending by accidentally clicking yes on the quilt bed in the living room to go back to sleep in the middle of the night. Then, I woke up to find everyone else outside of Basil's room, horrified of what he had done to himself.
I think the actual worst ending is when u go outside only on the 1st day and then decide to get the shut in route self Bri'ish ending, since from the 2nd day, everything pretty much just happens, so the true ending continues with Kel and Hero. After most of the old friend group is back toghether, they realize both the Bagel and Snuuy died of cringe
After that, Kel gains hyper depression, realizing he could've made the things better by physically dragging Sunny outside, making that timeline the worst OMORI ending in existance.

i thought that the double suicide hikkikomori ending would be worse because kel never got to sunny so he could have thought it was all his fault for him stabbing himelf right before moving out and that he should have tried earlier but he didnt and aubrey could have thought that her bullying basil was the reason basil killed himself and not knowing about his grandma and hero comes back from college only for his 2 best friends who he hasnt talked to in so long killing themselves without any warning and explanation and also sunnys mom constantly trying to ring sunny because she probably thinks he was running late and the movers must be pretty traumatised from seeing all that 😢 also i almost forgot to say that kel aubrey and hero wouldnt be a 3 so they would have to suffer differently then being in their own trio and aubrey would only have the hooligans and kel and hero will only have eachover which could cause another kel and hero argument
Seeing as how he tried to leave white space through usual means but he ended up having the knife in his hand makes me think it was accidental since when you pee in a dream you pee in real life, except this time its your veins peeing

to be honest,i think the bad ending is the worst ending in my opinion.
Sunny TRIED to win against his guilt and finally tell the truth but failed,and then commited suicide afterwards because he was probably feeling that he's just a burden and theres nothing left for him. Omori "taking over Sunny" is basically just guilt consuming him to the point he couldn't take it anymore and decides to kill himself, Omori going up the stairs in the neighbours room (before it transitions into the hospital roof) is probably Sunny still a little bit out of touch with reality,but still aware of what hes doing 🤷🤷

Now im not sure how his friends would EXACTLY react..but all i know for certain is that Basil would definitely kill himself after finding that Sunny did so.

Is it bad I think Omori moving away is a worse ending? Sure, it means Sunny technically isn't dead, but by that point he has no future. He will never improve. He likely won't finish school or get job a job or make any new friends. He's just going to continue to live in escapism. And giving that he sees himself as Omori, who's to say he doesn't have the same mentality that he does in Headspace? This could imply that he'd react violently to any "enemies" in the real world. Not helping is the fact that Sunny is shown to hallucinate. Who is to say that he won't kill someone else? This is the ending where Sunny survives, but doesn't live. It's the ending where he goes on to become a worse person. And while this is mostly speculation, the idea of that seems a bit worse then what's shown in the D.S. ending.
Sunny moving away and leaving his guilt and trauma to haunt him until his lonely death is an awful conclusion.
I agree. At least with suicide, Sunny's pain will end (though it will cause more suffering for others). The other ending is just Sunny suffering for the rest of his life and maybe spreading that suffering around to others like a disease or something. And also Basil is dead, so forget the friends living well too.
the hikikomori route ending (the one where sunny commits self death willingly) is probably a little bit worse than the double suicide, because basil also dies,the ambulance sirens you hear over the credit scenes are for basil,not sunny

out of all the endings ive seen of this game, this one hits me as the worst and most disturbing. the ringing of the phone as the credits roll on a black screen without music is what disturbs me. In all honesty its what had happened that night that is the worst part of the ending overall.
Kinda off topic, but why did Basil unlock his door? He had it locked during the day so shouldn't it still be locked. Why would he unlock it in the middle of the night? Did he expect Sunny to come in? I don't remember him saying anything about expecting Sunny to show up, although I don't perfectly remember the dialogue so maybe he did and I just can't remember. Although from a story perspective I understand why, it would've been pretty unsatisfying if Basil died no matter what you did simply because he locked his door. If the game did end that way, I think the game would be very different. There would be no Memory Road, no Omori boss fight, no Oyasumi and no telling *The Truth.* Not to mention the fandom would lose like 5 memes if there was no good/bad ending, no Oyasumi memed, no Truth memes, no Hero commits felony memes, etc. How radically different Omori would be if Basil kept his door locked.

personally, i think in this ending, the entire friendgroup would die. LET ME EXPLAINNN. first, mari "kills herself" because they never find out the truth of her actual death, then basil commits sui, then SUNNY commits sui on the SAME DAY. i think aubrey is super emotional, and so she wouldnt be able to handle all the death's and she'd blame herself, and so she'd commit sui as punishment for herself. THENN... kel hears about the news and gets like rlly depressed over how 4/6 of the people in his friend group have all killed themself, and then hed kill himself because all the emotions hes hidden in finally would come out and kel would be oberwhelmed and commit sui. THEN... hero would find out, and now that hes lost HIS BROTHER, HIS GIRLFRIEND, AND LITERALLY the rest of his friendgroup, hed have basically nothing to live for and commit sui aswell. i personally also think sunnys mom would commit sui after seeing both her children dead, and kel and heros parents would also prob either turn to terrible coping mechanisms (alcoholism, substance abuse, etc) and one would commit sui (possibly both)
Ngl, i think hero goes first before kel, since i see kel being emotionally stronger although once hero dies kel also goes
Also you dont need to mention for each one of the friends that they commited suicide because lets be real, its Sunny's friend group and its understandable they go out that way
Kel ending best ending
This is really the worst ending, not just because of what you said, but because of much more.
The thing is, that Mari is dead, and only Sunny and Basil knows the truth about it, other guys know just about her $uicide. They know literally nothing more - they do not know the truth, they do not know the reason, why she did the $uicide, even though this is fake, and this creates the pressure for them.
And in here we also have this ending, where Sunny and Basil kill theirselves. First of all, obviously, Kel, Aubrey and Hero will figure out about Basil's death. Aubrey will think, that he killed himself because she bullied him, Kel will think, that he was not a good friend for Basil, and he needed to be a better one, to support him more, and Hero will be hurt much more, because knowing his reaction to just Mari's death from Kel (He was depressed for the whole year, he did not even want to get off the bed), I think, that when he will figure out about Basil's death he would try to think, that something is not clear, because first Mari, than isolation, reunion, and now Basil is dead... Hero will just ask himself "Why, why is it so?". Friends will have no answers about Basil's death, and then, I guess, they will find power in themselves to go to Sunny, tell him and figure out, why he left Basil's house, because it seems very weird, and, of course, they will go to Sunny to say Goodbye before moving, but then suddenly they will also figure out, that he committed $uicide.
Now just place yourself on their place - de-facto the "big sister" of your whole friends group, the friend of all of you just committed $uicide for no reason, because she was always happy, she was always caring. Everything was good... Because of that you lost contact. Then reunion, all the game stuff, and Basil, the best friend of Sunny is dying. Sunny is a small brother of Mari, so it may seem very unclear, because there are also no real reasons to do this except of Aubrey bulling him, but then suddenly you figure out, that Mari's little brother Sunny ALSO did so. What will you think? Except of obvious depression you will feel, that something is VERY unclear. It all cannot happen just because of Mari's death, because if so - Sunny and Basil would do so much earlier... But... There will be no answer. No one knows the truth, only Sunny and Basil knew, what really happened to Mari, and only they knew the real reasons to commit this bad thing. Sunny's mom do not know anything, even his dad does not clearly know everything, and he does not appear in the game except of one single dialogue in the black space...
So, I think, that Kel will just finally fall in depression, because he lost half of his closest friends. He will behave same, as Hero - do not get off bed, be mean, be quiet... And also including the pressure of the unknown truth, what you just cannot figure out he will be even more depressed, than Hero when Mari died.
Aubrey will fall in depression too, much stronger depression, than you could imagine. She would maybe stop the contact with her new friends, she will just think, that maybe SHE is the reason - Mari died, she started bulling Basil, than Sunny a bit. Maybe because of Basil's death, what could MAYBE be known for Sunny was just because of her bulling, and Sunny, maybe, just was afraid to become a new target, or, what is much more realistic - he just was not able to live with knowing information about his sister and friend dying, and if Aubrey suddenly knows about Sunny's crush on her - she could react even worse.
And Hero... Hero will suffer the most. He lost his girlfriend, for almost a year he was a hikkikomori, who was interested in nothing, who was quiet and mean even to his family. He lost his interest to his hobby, and when he started recovering - two of his friends die, two of his friends, who were closest to Mari, and including the pressure of the truth Hero may understand, that this is unclear, and they could be the only people to know, what really happened... But they are dead, so, I guess, looking at his reaction to just Mari's death we can calculate, that he will feel Mari's death + 1.7 of Mari's death... It is possible, that Hero will commit the same, what Basil and Sunny.
So, if we will include Hero's possible $uicide we can see only two of friends group - Kel, who is brother of Hero and Aubrey. Kel and Hero, are, obviously, close, and including Kel's depression after losing two of his closest friends and Mari imagine him seeing Hero's dead body... Kel is very close to Hero, and was to all of them, so, I guess, that it is also possible for Kel to commit the same thing. Even though he is a bit goofy, and he is very strong emotionally, if he survived Mari's death better, than others he would not be able to resist the pressure of the unknown truth and death of 4 of his friends.
Now we have only Aubrey. Completely depressed, isolated. She was the strongest one, but she left her new friends, and all of her old friends are dead, or, if everything will be extremely good - she will have 1 or 2 left. But they would not talk to each other, they will be just too depressed and scared of each other, they would not be able to look at each other after having so much fun, when they were kids, growing up and seeing half of their friends group dead with the worst methods to die. So Aubrey will be completely isolated and depressed, she lost all of her friends. I guess, she will just become a bit mad because of all things she walked through, and, possibly, when she grow up she will lost contact with her completely non-interested mother and move to a bigger city, possibly the one, where Sunny's mother would live. Maybe there she will find a thing, or a person to recover with, maybe she will forget the most tragic, awful feelings, but her heart and soul well be full of pain until the end of her life, because she cannot forget all of these things. I think, that even a small reminder of her life, when she was having good friends and fun with them and then found everyone dead will make her cry for hours, if not days...
What do you think about that? Is all these things possible? Let's discuss it, because I believe, that my theory is not perfect.

Forget his friends. What about how his mom reacts? Her whole family is dead/gone. She's probably the one calling Sunny as he's bleeding to death in his bed. I shudder to think, but it's probably gonna end badly for her too.
No, because mine "ending" is THE WORST. Basically I was playing Omori for over 30 hours (I was trying to do all the quests etc., so it was the second day in Faraway Town). One day my mom wanted to make some space in the computer, uninstalled Omori and Steam causing Omori to reset. I. LOST. EVERYTHING. I wasted over 30 hours of my life just to see the unable to click "continue" button in the main menu. Now I'm watching all endings, cutscenes etc., because I'm not going to repeat the game again, I'm sick of it (not the game, but of what happened, it's just sad).

Idk, i wanted to see people's opinion on this one, but i think that the omori route is sadder...But i think it was because it caught me of guard at the end...if you wake up in the last day you will be playing a nightmare, with something always following you. But what i got scared at was the fact that you could stab yourself, ending the game, caught me sooooo of guard, i did it almost without thinking because i forgot i wasn't in headspace and i just wanted it to stop, i just didn't want to play with THAT thing following me, the atmosphere of dread was just too big for me, never in all the game i felt like that (maybe in the Sunny vs omori fight, but it digress)
Oh and this ending is just so sad, i havent even seen all that i left for me to do, but its so sad that for example, all of the main characters sleeping together is just in a dream idk it just made me feel so bad for what i have made sunny do, never going outside, only being happy when reppesing the memories :'( never knowing that kel ,hero and aubrey and EVEN BASIL (at the end) would have been so happy to see him.
Idk it just made me wish i hadden't finished the game in the true good ending route, because now i could play it again and have that good ending that sunny deserved i swear i just love this game so much but damn i wish i could consider the omori route a good ending, but i can't , even if Sunny won't suffer anymore its not okey, that's not how you fix problems...
I know im rambbling so much but the true good ending was so good and made me so happy, made me cheerish the moments i had with all the people that i considered friends (and now i don't for personal reasons) and it helped me move along even if it gave me severe a bit of the "i want to cry 24/7" for a couple of days...
I think its because i've related with what happens in the omori route(in the sense of "that could have been me"), its the easy way out, the pain and guilt its so unbearable that you just give up...idk where im even going with this but yeah, i think this was sadder for me, prettending that everything is ok while its not is something that i just couldn't do anymore and it hurts that sunny did it
that's the point of the game, to see yourself reflected in the character. It is a psychological horror game since it makes you feel part of it and it can be a perfectly possible situation in real life. Guilt and evacuation of the problem kills you slowly. The worst ending is the hikiomori double suicide, I think

Ive heard of all the endings except for the secret flower ending and the abandon ending. What are those and how do you get them?
The secret flower ending is obtained by watering Basil's plants in Headspace at least once a day, and refusing to give up against Omori.
The abandoned ending is obtained by leaving Basil's house on the final night but not picking up the knife. When you wake up, Something will be constantly following you, including into the moving truck.
0:04 ha, I already spoiled myself by watching OMORI explained videos and watching final duet and all endings and that flower achievement etc.
After my first playtrough, I wanted to know what would happen if I didn't save Basil. So I didn't, and I ABSOLUTELY regret it. Kel's words hurt like a knife in my chest. I can't explain why. And Aubrey not answering + Hero's face made it hurt even more. And the fact that Sunny comits later too. This is seriously the worst ending, and that call while the credits went going... God. I can't imagine the pain of all of them. But Polly's words were also so sad...

My first playthrough I accidentally got this ending. I thought I was supposed to leave Basil’s house. After the end credits I just rebooted the game and got the true ending because I didn’t go through all of that for it to end like this lol.

Ok yeah you are right this is the worst ending in Omori and in my opinion one of the worst endings in gaming history because Sunny and Basil both committing suicide on the same night and his friend's never knowing the truth. I actually think this is the best ending. Because I thinkt he good ending where all continue to live is actually the bad. Sunny never properly got punishment since he "only" told his friends, Basil loses his best friend and we don't know if he ends up the new sunny (by swallowing all of his pain up to hide it ), the friends are left with the shocking truth and also have to cope with it.
I think this here is the only proper ending to it.

The worst ending is the Oyasumi ending actually.
The neutral ending, regardless of its outcome, feels empty and honestly kinda lame, like yeah you learned the truth, now what? everything you did has lead you to this moment and now you just leave like nothing happened?
In the bad ending, sunny was **this** close from confessing the truth and relieving himself, but he just gives it all up and jumps.
I didn’t complete the game yet. I got stuck at orange oasis. But I’m already spoiled so it’s too late…
