    So very beautiful. I actually use a cleaned out visine eye drop bottle filled with water to drip my water in the paint. I love your tutorials!

    Thank you so much for sharing this awesome technique. I invested in the Finetec/Coliro watercolors after watching one of your other videos and love them! Your double-page spread is gorgeous! Again, thanks for sharing!

      Bless you. I do still colour but my spare time is totally devoted to setting up my new resin jewellery business :) I share my pages on Facebook but not teaching at the moment. If I do a tutorial in the near future it’ll be about resin - person a separate channel. Xx

      Marina Sepeda thankyou! If I remember I made an effort to use the full range of paint colours as a test page. 🎨🎨 you can see them on the Coliro website.

    Very helpful tutorial. Thank you. Do you think this technique will work with the paints from KJDesignByKaren ? I have a few of her colours.

      Clare Birschel I hope so!!! It takes a lot of prep and daily videos for a full page set of tutorials. I’m self employed, so when I’m between contracts it’s easy to have the time to commit. I’m in contract working full time until the end of November so it’s difficult to squeeze in at the moment. If only I could do this professionally - I’d be the happiest girl alive ☺️☺️☺️

    Very inspiring, Claire! I've been using my Coliro's along with you. Just wondering - what is the best fixative for these watercolors? Thanks!

    • @ClaireHoloway
      @ClaireHoloway  6 років тому

      Diane Bauer Golden Thankyou!!! To be honest I’ve never used fixative on my watercolours xxxx

  • @Shelleyweaver84

    I've just started using water colour and I've been learning to have only a small bit of colour and lots of water so it can be translucent but you did it the other way round. Is it because it's a metallic type colour?

    • @ClaireHoloway
      @ClaireHoloway  3 роки тому +1

      It’s because the books aren’t water colour paper so will buckle with lots of water :)

    Beautiful. When you blend the paint....because you are going over it a couple of times to blend does it warp or buckle the paper?

    • @ClaireHoloway
      @ClaireHoloway  6 років тому

      Stella Jean hi! If you use a tiny brush and the tiny amount of water it picks up - no. Water pens, pipettes etc won’t do you any favours :)

    Hey Claire - just curious, do you prep the page for watercolour at all?

  • @LissiKinz
    @LissiKinz 6 років тому +3

    You should get a pipet to drip water onto the paints to moisten them. I’m going to buy one myself

    • @ClaireHoloway
      @ClaireHoloway  6 років тому +1

      Alissa Michaela thanks for the tip but I honestly think that would result in too much water going onto the dry cake. You literally only need tiny amounts. Too much water the paint will be too thin 🎨🎨

    • @ClaireHoloway
