⚠️ CORRECTION TO VIDEO: It does NOT require a hard double-tap to get back to the clock face, a regular (soft) double-tap actually works (even on the screens I was having trouble with in the video). I was thrown off because Fitbit's own instructions are to "Firmly double-tap" so I never even tried a soft double tap 🤦🏻♀️

I've been having chest pains, so I purchased one of these. Thank you, I really appreciate the time spent. You have a very pleasing voice to follow along with. I just got mine all set up thanks to you. I am anxious to see how well it measures my heart rate. I did have a professional heart rate monitor installed on my body at the hospital; wore it for 48 hrs; all my results came back normal. I hope this device can pick up on something, if anything. I just want to add that this is very comfortable compared to my normal Expedition watch. I can't even really tell I have this on. As for using the watch along with your phone.... everyone carries around a phone anyway. Thanks much.

No (but note ECG is not yet available). Only thing you get with premium is more history of SpO2 (7 days without premium, 90 days with premium).

I'm getting mine on Monday. And viewing this thorough unboxing was super helpful. I will maybe postpone activating the 6 month free trial for Fitbit premium until they activate those sensors.
I’m so glad my video helped you. Note that you need to activate the free trial of Premium within 60 days of setting up your Charge 5 (so don’t wait longer than that).

Thank you for the kind words 😊 🙏 Yes, it is slightly thicker than the Luxe (Charge 5 is 0.44 inches or 11.2 mm thick, while Luxe is 0.40 inches or 10.05 mm thick; so Charge 5 is 0.04 inches or 1.15 mm thicker than Luxe). I wore it to sleep last night and it was comfortable for me.

hi is there another video you can do of the fitbit charge 5 going through the whole entire fitbit slides/apps when you scroll up and down to see all metrics and stats because i had a fitbit inspire 2 and i current lost it so i want to buy a replacement a better one when i heard about the charge 5 its really good and i hope that last me longer before i go out reckless and buy any i do research to find the best and i have an eye on this one so i really want to buy it. So before i buy i want to see what its like before i spend a fortune on a watch.

Thank you for this video! How big is the Charge 5 compared to the Luxe? Does it seem more responsive than the Luxe when you swipe through it? I just got the Luxe on a deal & so far I like how it fits on my 6" wrist, but if the Charge 5 works better than the Luxe, I want to see if it's worth to try it. I don't like how big the Versa is, so I never thought about getting one until I saw the Luxe. Do you think I would be too much on a 6" wrist or worth the extra features? It would be nice to be able to wear everyday & special occasions, what do you think?
You're welcome! Charge 5 Size = 1.45 in x 0.9 in x 0.44 in; Luxe Size = 1.43 in x 0.69 in x 0.4 in (The biggest difference is the width of the screen (left to right)). I think the responsiveness is essentially the same for both. I don't have a small wrist, so I can't comment about that. The extra features on the Charge 5 are: Built-in GPS, ECG App (Coming Soon), EDA Scan App, Always-on Display Mode.

How do you think the size of the device would look and feel on a small wrist, like a pretty small wrist? Also will you be doing a comparison between this and the luxe or what quick comparisons can you think of now? I’ve already had to send my luxe in to get a replacement after only two weeks of use. It might’ve been a faulty one but my confidence in it has declined and now I’m scared my new one won’t last either.
I don't have small wrists, so I can't really comment on that. I will be doing a Charge 5 vs Luxe comparison video at some point. Quick comparison is the Charge 5 has many higher-end features like built-in GPS, ECG (Coming Soon to certain countries, see fitbit.com/ecg), and EDA Scan App (subjective as to whether you find this feature useful, I personally don't). Also Charge 5 has a 2-day longer stated battery life and an Always-on Display Mode. Also since it has a wider screen, the text is a little easier to read (in my opinion) and the clock faces show more information.
@@wearablewhisperer sorry to ask again but in your opinion do you think it would look/feel bulky on a small wrist? As far as I can tell, it doesn’t seem like there’s a huge difference in terms of software between the luxe and 5 unless the health features like you mentioned are important to you.
You are so patient and accurate in showing everything, it's sweet :) I have already ordered my charge 5 in the platinum version. But I'm a bit disappointed that there is no weather, for example. Hehehe, you tap really hard on the screen; D Maybe a little too hard because the screen did not always respond? If there were any problems with the response of the display, I would not buy it in any case
I saw in another video that you have to tap a little harder than just a soft touch. It was the video of Tshaka Armstrong.

It really depends on what features are important to you. I think the bigger, color display of the Charge 5 is much better. In general, I’d recommend the Charge 5.

This will be my 1st tracker. Can this be worn on the underside of the wrist? I have only worn my watches this way so will it affect this device? I will be receiving mine today. Thank you for the detailed video.
You’re welcome. Fitbit doesn’t test accuracy of the devices if worn on the underside of the wrist. It may affect the accuracy.

Tons of sync issues with my charge 5. I returned mine. Its a bummer cause I really liked the watch.

I agree if they sort out the button issue on the Versa 3 and load it with Wear OS it might be perfect.
The Charge 5 is nice, but I think I'll stick with my Fitbit Ionic.
How many workout mode its have ? And its better then fitbit sens?

This was a great unboxing. I realize this video is a year old, but I'll ask anyway. I already have a different Fitbit Inspire HR. Your video selected setting up a new Fitbit. I want to ensure I don't lose any of my years of data. You mentioned if I already have an account, I can just log in and enter email and password. I guess that's what I should do?
Yes, you’d use the same account and still be able to keep your data. From the main dashboard, click on the image in the upper left corner. Now you should be on the account page. Scroll down if needed until you see add a new device, then tap that. Find your device in the list and tap on it. It may or may not tell you you have to remove your current device. If it doesn’t tell you that, then you can have both devices and switch between them. Otherwise you have to only use one.
Have you heard anything about a new sense or versa? I didn't even hear about charge 5, just the Luxe from Fitbit!
Fitbit has always announced all Fall products at the same time, so I am not expecting a new Sense or Versa this year.
They are likely working on a smartwatch with Google and Wear OS, but there haven’t been any solid rumors about whether that’s coming this year or not until next year.

I won’t go with Fitbit again , I had 2 devices, the Alto and the charge 3 , they both died on me after a couple of years , I’m using now the Huawei band 6 .

The heart rate sensor can be turned off, yes. What other sensors would you want turned off?

Yes, you can uninstall the SpO2 app to prevent the sensor from turning on.

Unfortunately you can’t turn it off.
Ugh mine won’t find my device. Directions say tap button on flat side of charger to reset but there is no buttons on the charger. So frustrating.

Didn't like mine at all so returning it now. The watch doesn't have problem but the features it has of no use to me
I have been unsuccessful at setting my fitbit up. waste of $145 for me as I am so disappointed and annoyed. sorry.. was hopeful you would guide me, but that failed as well... grrrrr.
