I do vacuum out my machine on a fairly regular basis with small attachments made for computers that we bought years ago. I thought that was enough, but I see now that I probably need to do more. Thanks for all the extra cleaning tips!
Excellent tutorial!! I clean my machine after I finish each quilting project and it is amazing how much lint accumulates in and around the bobbin case. Another brush I like to use is the ones for hummingbird feeders, they kind of look like a mascara brush.
Awesome tutorial!! I must confess I am not as diligent with cleaning my Juki as I should be. She will get a good cleaning tomorrow afternoon after watching your thorough video. I received the small vacuum like yours last Christmas. It is a great tool for lots of areas. Thank you for the great tips!
I enjoyed watching you clean your machine I do mine after every big project and In between small projects I love your little hoover where can I get one of those I came across your site today and in going to try doing the is it 32 or 36 half square triangles method tonight I'll let you know how that goes 😉
Mini vacuum from Amazon, the link is in the description. It's the best! I use it on other things in my sewing room too! Good luck with the HSTs too! Thanks for watching!
Thanks for this content. I've been looking for a mini vac. Also, love knowing about the other things that you use. I'll be getting those too. Sew informative.♥️
Hi, I enjoyed the tutorial and thank you for showing the mini vacuum. I've been wanting to purchase one. Question, how often do you replace your needle? Pittsburgh, PA
Thanks Rosalie! I love my mini vacuum! I change my needle between projects usually, but I don’t tend to sew more than one project at a time. If you do, then the most common recommendation I’ve seen is to change after 8-10 hours of sewing. Good luck!

I also buy sewing machine needles by the 100 pack, its great to be able to do a needle change whenever she begins to sound cluncky!
