You done great job. Funny I came across you when I was surfing internet the German electric roof cleaning system No not for business- just my house. I might buy one available in UK for patio but I can not do reef cleaning will need to get some one like you.
That you put the sand back in just revived my faith in humanity. So happy that I'm not the only company in the world that seems to do this ;) What kind of "biocide" are you using and can we get it here in Canada?
Notice that when you were sanding there were still some moss inbetween some brick joints. That's why I hardly use a rotator cause they never get between the cracks like a nozzle does
Hi mate great video.. have you got a on-board water tank or do you plug in at customers house..I'm thinking of starting doing this ,how much do you think I'd have to spend on equipment for doing drives ,I've been looking at starter set ups for about 2000 thats jetwash ,hoover , one of those round sprayers you push and a 1000 litre tank also would I need a pump from water tank to feed jet wash cheers
Good stuff. Just wondered if you ever worry about water getting underneath the tiles on a roof? I cleaned my own roof and didn't realise i had a damaged tile and rip in roof felt so water went into my loft and onto the living room ceiling 😬 oops.
This roof wasn’t pressure washed, it was treated with AlgoClear biocide a year ago after having he moss removed. This is done with a very soft spray. Check out the job via the link in the description.😃👍🏼
Great video , how many bags of sand did you use. I run a gardening business in the north east and am about to do my first commercial job approximately 200 sq mt. Any advice is appreciated. Your videos made me take the jump. Thanks. Rob.
Hi ashley, I’m going to start pressure washing soon, I’ll be using your method of measuring up for a price on cleaning. For the sanding though, do you just work out how many bags the customer will need, charge them that and then your labour on top? I’m not sure how to go about pricing the sanding
Love all your videos am just about to start my own business got a pressure washer and surface cleaner and hopefully getting a van this weekend what I would like some advice on is where you get your hose from and do you use anything to protect it from rubbing on the floor I.e tape or wrap?? Was looking for about 40m hose cheers and keep up the great work
Great, thanks! I’m glad you find it useful. The hose will wear out in time, like any tool that eventually needs replacing I suppose. I used to have a long hose, about 30meters I think, but it used to just get twisted up and you can spend ages trying to sort it out. I just use a 15m hose now and that’s plenty.😃👍🏼
Cheers for the the quick reply mate. I was looking to just leaving my washer in the van that's why am looking for a long hose didn't want to just buy some ebay crap, do you buy from someone local to you? Am from Newcastle and to be honest am find it hard to find suppliers but that's probably cause am not yet in this game. Been a roofer for the last 14 years and need a new goal! Thanks again for the help.
Nice one Ash! I have just upgraded my pressure washer and surface cleaner so loving the pressure wash videos! I was about to pull the trigger on a SkyVac 85 but decided to hold of until next season and try to go petrol! More Power! Love the videos you put out keep it up mate! :)
Interesting! The petrol model that i am looking at cost less than the Interceptor but has equivalent of 10,000 watts (~ 3x) and is not tethered to the wall. Still weighing it up as it takes up more space and is heavier to offload so swings and roundabouts i guess!
@@aemackintosh just been having a quick look at your playlist... it looks like an awesome piece of kit! I started with a cheaper one, but ready to upgrade now. Thanks 👍🏻
Here in California I started doing some work on my own. I have a 3100 psi: Yard force. But I want to go for something more powerful, maybe 3800. How many psi is yours and brand? Thanks. I love your channel.
Great, thanks! I made a video about my pressure washing setup recently. I don’t think it’s all about how much psi you have, but the flow rate makes a big difference to the cleaning power as well. Previously I had a 15litre per minute machine and now I have a 21litres per minute machine which gives much better cleaning results more quickly.😃👍🏼
Great job! Looks lovely .. in regards to the moss you bagged up - do you take that away or ask customer and if you do do you charge extra or put it in to the price of the job
Smashing video mate! Have you ever mixed salt and kiln dried to fill between blocks slightly then top up with kiln dried to stop weeds? I read it somewhere and seems like a good idea? And how do you estimate how much kiln dried you'll need? Cheers
No I’ve never tried it with salt. I guess you just get a feel for how much sand you need. This job was only about 4 bags, but it will also depend on how you rinse. The more sand you rinse away, the more you will need to put back. So you are just making more work for yourself if you’re not careful.😃👍🏼
I'm going to try the salt mix on my next job and see how it holds up. Not long added pressure washing to the window cleaning business and your video's are helping no end. Thankyou!
I use a 15meter pressure hose. Much longer than that and it can become a bit of a handful and get easily twisted up. You can always add 10 meter lengths with adapters if you really need it to be longer, but I find 15 meters is plenty for most jobs.😃👍🏼
@@aemackintosh thanks again, would it be safe to use a turbo Nozzle on all of it, or would it damage the surface, I'm doing a small area like that next week and didn't want to get the surface cleaner out if possible. Thanks again Phill
The thing is, the jets on the fsc are angled slightly, specifically to remove only 10mm of sand from between the blocks. So you only clean the surface and you don’t disturb the foundation and dislodge the blocks at all. A turbo nozzle pointed straight down at the surface will penetrate much deeper and blast sand out everywhere. I try to keep turbo nozzle use to a minimum.😃👍🏼
A.E.Mackintosh Cleaning Services cheers lad ...Am thinking of getting one👍....nice to see you brushing the dirt up aswel in between...work smart not hard😉

It was difficult in front of the house since it was so flat there. It’s better when there is a bit of a slope. I’ve seen an attachment called a water broom, which has several jets, but I’ve never tried it. On a large area, the muck soon piles up.😃👍🏼
