Watching all their videos in 2022 made me realize how greatly creative their videos are. Some People may think their songs are senseless but they really bring joy.

Why it was considered so devilish? :D we had such music on school discotheque, for kids 7-10 y.o we didn't speak English so we didn't understand lyrics, but enjoyed vibes, beats. It was so innocent for us :) I grew up in Poland, 90s I was once on Samos, people seemed to be very opened, chilled.

It's always different to experience as a visitor than be a local I guess... They also once threw in garbage a book I had bought from my savings talked about Darwin's theory. They also many locals bullied me cause I was born gay and I remember that had start when I was like 7 or 8 years. They were hiting the table underneath while I was eating to scare me telling I was eating too much and whether I like figs or not. You know...the joke with figs for gay people. Not only it was such a conservative community but well defined in my mind as a field in which only specific rules and behaviours were allowed. What's more sad till today is that still this concept hasn't changed a bit but remains as strong as it was. For example couple of months ago on another island of the same size and population sharing obviously the same values and spirit to what you could find in Samos a local hunged himself out of embarrassment to his son after had seen photos of him with another local man who distributed them. Out of purpose or out of ignorance I don't know but all locals made fun of the father at the end... It is what your politician said to European parliament to Eleonora Meleti journalist about psychological prints. That they deliberately have excluded psychological conditions to serve and justify this way their actions and decisions. If you could take a political step back then in Samos you could remember that all of them were voting for this political party Eleonora Meleti today belongs... As a kid a had no idea about anything but now it feels like a whole strategy of misinformation and manipulation is behind from political members who perpetually support this a method. So they not only provide any solutions but they sustain this kind of logic pushing people being marginalized or killed at the end.

That's ridiculous, because my country is known for its "intolerance" however if some guy wants to be with another nobody makes fun of it. And I usually considered Greece as very tolerant. We even got saying "Greek love" - you know... Backdoor, especially connected with two men. Or very rarely man+woman. Maybe it is specific for islands? Continent = big cities, population, people got own problems. Island = small population, a bit village atmosphere, everyone knows each other and maybe they are creating problems because of too good life?

Aquarium was my first CD to purchase by "saving my own money" back in Elementary School. I have always been a huge fan. I was lucky enough to finally meet them and get THAT VERY SAME CD cover autographed, and a poster + pics when they came to Chicago last winter. Just amazing.
This song always made me feel melancholic as a kid. As a lonely kid hearing people enjoy themselves just makes your own sadness more pronounced. Yet Aqua dance songs had so much hopefulness in them I couldn’t help but listen. 🥲

In 1997 we used sony cassette players to hear this song and every times it brings energy to our body, AQUA album was very famous at that time, we travelled almost 1000 kms to get the cassette.

En mi adolescencia, adoraba a Aqua con esa música propia tan maquineta que resucitaba el buen humor hasta en los peores días. Me encantaba la química entre los miembros del grupo y las pintas súper modernas de ella. Sin entender casi de inglés, me imaginaba a la chica encerrada en una torre cuando escuchaba la canción jajaja. Hoy en día, me siguen dando vidilla y mucha nostalgia. BOOOOOOP! Aqua is no joke one of my favorite bands. Their music just uplifts me!
In 1997 we used sony cassette players to hear this song and every times it brings energy to our body, AQUA album was very famous at that time, we travelled almost 1000 kms to get the cassette.
Those were the days....This album has lot to do with my childhood memories.

I was listening Oh My, every single day with my cousin, she was a teenager at that time. And we have another great hit of this band, the acqua barbie girl song. Remembering the 90s. It was our song of my primary school class boys. Good times. I miss the back in the days time. Arriverderci, bye friends. Love aqua.
