This year will be going on 7 years, she is still cancer free and we now have three grandsons! Life goes on ... Every year they get closer to beating cancer for good - can't come soon enough!
Hello Tom: That is so great to hear. I hope for that outcome for me. I have a double rare cancer (endometrial and ovarian) I will be starting Keytruda soon, did she have any long term side effects?
@@NanB12 Hi Nan, Tatiana had no side effects long term. After her first treatment she ran a high fever for one day. I believe this was her immune system activating but this is just me belief. I hope this treatment fully heals you.
Congratulations Tatiana on being cancer free!!! In August 2017, I was diagnosed with stage 4 renal (kidney) cancer that metastasized to my liver. In October 2017, I had a radical left nephrectomy. In November 2017, I began my immunotherapy treatment for my liver. I rang my cancer free bell on April 16, 2019, I am cancer free!!! I too was treated at Georgetown Medstar. My Oncologist is Dr. Nancy Dawson. Actually tomorrow, I will be meeting with Dr. Aikens who is head of the immunotherapy clinical trial program at Georgetown University's Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center. Praise God and thank you Georgetown Medstar and the inventors of immunotherapy!!! I am cancer free, I Punked Cancer!!!
Estou com câncer renal recidivado, gostaria muito de ter acesso a esse depoimento, mas infelizmente não sei inglês e nem espanhol, pois tbm vi que tem um outro vídeo que me interesso muito, eles nos dão força para continuar lutando
Sheree Hardin They’ve used immunotherapy in various types on cancers, sometimes it work and sometimes it doesn’t. It’s still very promising. It’s just another step forward in the right direction.
Sadly my father won't be able to get a chance to write his own "Tatiana's story", because we can't afford the drug or journey to USA for any clinical trial either (maybe if it would be only cost of plane tickets and accomodation I could sell all my belongings).
@@dinole4266 I am from Poland. Today we received CT results. After 3 years on Cabozantinib disease progressed. But 3 years in kidney cancer (clear cell) is long enough to get new treatment options. Now we are trying to get immunothearpy (ICI - immunne checkpoints inhibitors) simillar to Atezolizumab ---> Nivolumab/Ipilimumab. In the first line it has 10% Complete Responses, and 80% of Disease Control. For my father it would be the 4th line (3y on sunitinb with partial response, 3mo on axitinib - didn't work at all, 3y on cabozantinib with biggest tumor reduction over 50%). In 2020 I'm educated about ccRCC treatment options better than some oncologists. I will keep you posted.
Hi All, I'm Tatiana's husband. For all who asked, five years later she's still cancer free. Hoping for healing of everyone suffering.
How is she now
🎉❤😊
Thank you for being her protector and fighting for her. You're a hero.❤️
