Another amazing teaching job! The reprint can’t come soon enough, as I find myself wanting to recommend Le Havre all the time. The arc of the game is just astounding.
Read thru the rules this morning and went to find a video just to run thru it again…. And your video was excellent. Thanks so much. I will surely use it when I introduce the game to my gaming group this week. Cheers!
Thanks for watching. Hope you used klingon subs. There is one mistake. You do pay entry fee if you use a General town building if there is one depicted on the card . You don't pay only if you use your own buildings.
Thank you Niko, excellent tutorial. The only thing i noticed that probably is wrong(unless it is different between editions),is when i use a building that is owned by the town. You say that we dont pay the entry fees entering a building, but the rulebook says i have to pay the entry fee to the supply.
Hi, 9:40, if Town buildings have a fee it must be paid, they are not all free to use. From the right-side of the rulebook: "Entry fees must be paid when a player takes a building action. If the building belongs to the town, it is paid to the Treasury (the Supply). Players do not pay entry fees to enter their own buildings."
Υου are right. I remember I read it twice. The rule says "there is often a fee to use another player's building" however, in the yellow context to the right says exactly what you mentioned. I will add an annotation. Thanks a lot!
Hello my friend, I bought the game a few months ago. And I wonder "When will Peaky Boardgamer upload a full teach"? And here you are. I think that after watching the video I can finally enjoy the game. Be well my friend!
Great quick explanation. Great video. But, Oh My. Your accent is all over the place. Greek name, Dutch, American, and some Australian in there? Do you know so the rules of all the games in your library?
@@peakyboardgamer Too funny. I am a Belgian Yank, living in NZ. I get people asking about my accent too. We brought our kids up here and taught them eurogames, instead of the crap like Monopoly. Fun to watch 3 different kids, and brains, playing these games. Keep up the great work.
This is a fantastic how to play video! Thank you! Thank you for making it just in time. One minor suggestion if I may, reduce the distracting handwaving while explaining.
Dumb question. I have 18 cards for the 2-player market, but one says “start.” Should my 2-player market have only 17 cards after putting this 4th starting building in the town, or am I missing one? Thanks!
@@peakyboardgamer I’ll have your answer in 10 minutes. The 2-player reference card mentions it, and the word “start” is right under the check marks. I’m thinking it might be for the short game, and I was looking at the wrong side of the reference card. Because I am a moron.
@@Orochi_001 yes. You refer to the marketplace. The start word is in the area of the light yellow tick. So it is normally used in the normal version and used as a start building in the shortened version. Morons dont play LeHavre

Thank you so much for this! It really helped me wrap my mind around the rules. Now to hit the table!

Aaaahhh! This was already corrected with klingon subs. Always use them.

Εισαι εξαιρετικός! Αριστη επεξήγηση κανόνων. Δυστυχώς το rulebook δεν ηταν τοσο επεξηγηματικό.
Thanks. Ελπιζω να εβαλες klingon subs γιατι εχω κανει ενα μικρο λαθακι οταν χρησιμοποιείς κτίρια αλλου παίκτη
The most helpful video I have found! Thank you!!
Thanks Shannon! And if you are into Uwe's games, I ve just published another video for agricola!
