I know this is an old review, but I love the way you put it together 👍😊 The only thing I miss is the different scores for different player counts. But that was then. Great video.

Thank you so much! I like to think things have improved since those old video days! :P

One of my favorite games of all time but as my preferences rarely meet yours I wasn't surprised. However, I still value you options and explanations. Always well explained.

To hear Tom Vasel talk about it I literally thought it only played 2-3, had no idea it could play 4-5. But it sounds like valid reasons for not playing with that higher player count.

This is one of the greatest game ever designed, certainly not as bad to not make a top 100 list.

It's decent, but it's unlikely to ever meet my Top 100 again - the fact that ships are essential to the game (you don't get to choose to do your own path other than deciding whether you want to bake bread or fish) and the loan system is far too easy to exploit. The last winner literally took every loan he could get and by the end of the game he was able to offset it with simply a luxury liner and a big building. His point score was insane and he could afford anything at any time without a care. That destroyed the theme and gameplay for me.

A down-vote for not putting this in my Top 100? Really?

I love to hate on Uve. His games are so completely overrated. They are mediocre at best.

Subjective opinion is subjective. However, what is not subjective, is the mis- & overuse of "overrated" and "underrated" on the internet. All they now mean, thanks to having their original means all but obliterated online, is "underrated" = "I like it, but you don't" & "overrated" = "you like it, but I don't".
