As someone who listens to Pod Save America and watches Colbert, I was super excited for this interview. The audience even got to hear one of lovett's rants lol.
Hisssssssssssssssssss! All this hissing is making me hungry for Blue Apron. I can pay for it with the Cash App while I wear my Indochino suit and Movement watch snacking on a Kind bar while laying on my Casper mattress with Parachute sheets and listening to PSA on Audible.
I forgot about my new job! I was to busy being underwhelmed and horrified as an American by the Nunes memo. I wonder when it will be on Audible?
This was such a solid interview, especially for a live show
Well Stephen did point out that they are professional communicators, so it makes sense that they would be pretty good at communicating
I would argue that his interviews were even better on The Colbert Report. His interview with Pussy Riot (half in Russian) really memorable.

Who was the guy in the middle? He spoke damn well. If these guys are/were speech writers for politicians, maybe they should take it to the next level and be the politicians we listen to speaking and debating. They have better delivery than many politicians.
Mark Styles he is Jon Lovett. He actually mentioned a couple of times he eventually intend to run for office.

Jon Lovett was on fire compared to Jon (other) and Tommy. Jon and Tommy were trying to stay middle and not rock the boat while Jon Lovett knew he was in most of America's homes and went for it. That is how you get people to tune into your podcast whether they agree or disagree with him.
It cracks me up that all throughout you see Lovett in action. You can feel it when you listen to the pods, but you don't get to see it(unless you're there, of course)-him just listening intently, thoughtfully forming his analysis of the discussion and context surrounding it and he's stewing...just simmering away until it hits a boil and then BAM! LOVETT EXPLODES!!! Jon Lovett: The Pressure Cooker of Common Sense. LOL
On a side note-I would LOVE to see them have Stephen as a guest on one of the Pods!! Just sitting down and discussing these things without Stephen having the pressure of being the host for a TV network and having to stay within a framework of time, etc.

These guys run Crooked Media (Crooked.com). Pod Save America for all three of them discussing politics with a bit of humor, Lovett or Leave It (Jon Lovett's show) for a more comedy-centric pod, Pod Save the World (Tommy's show) for foreign policy stuff, and a handful of other decent pods. Definitely worth checking out.

After this, I doubt they'll let them leave the studio. Oh, they'll fix it up and make it look good, room service 24/7 so they're less likely to make a run for it, but no. They ain't leaving. I was going to say they were Stephen's trump card, completely oblivious to the idiocy of that statement, but you get the gist. And if they're with Stephen, Trump won't go near them for another speech. Win win situation.
They should have had them on for 2 segments. It's hard to interview 3 smart people about so many topics in such a short period of time. I know it's live and it was great...you wouldn't know there wasn't much time to prepare for the show -- Stephen is so good. The guests were good. Stephen is the love of my TV watching life.

I don't think "imprison" will ever happen for a US President.
First off, if he were removed from office, Pence would succeed him, and use his authority as President to pardon him.
Second, I think our government as an institution likes it that way. They'd rather retain the dignity of the office, to the extent possible. When someone wants a president out, they want him out.. and then move on.
You can't pardon an impeachment or State crimes, plus he'll have to admit his guilt and Drumpf would never do that, even to save himself.
Inpeach!!! And match me... Bernie can still win! I'm living in reality here.

+Manatee Man She's not effectively booing Jon. The "Hsssssssss" has become a running joke, as Jon absolutely and notoriously hates it and people do it all the damn time on their live podcasts. Whenever someone or something shitty is brought up into the convo the audience always hisses and Jon gets super pissed about it(because it's annoying as hell)...until recently which is because he knows this isn't a fight he's going to win. LOL
