@@cqtaylor maybe bringing a failed politician to act as “president of earth”? It’s a show, hire good actors at least.
@@josephfitzgerald4830 Oh, you mean like Dwayne Johnson, when he was on Voyager? or Iggy Pop when he was on Deep Space 9? Or Mick Fleetwood, when he was on STNG, when he appeared as a fish alien? Instead, we got Stacy Abrams, a Georgia politician who performed as a ... politician. Because of Abrams, she encouraged enough voter registration in the state of Georgia to ensure the defeat of Donald Trump. Her lines as President of the United Earth weren't controversial. Her performance wasn't horrible. Get over it.
@Ownerthekpwner 😂 yes I said good actors not also failed ones. 🤣
@@cqtaylor she is a defender of freedom, a champion of democracy and she does that by…undermining our democracy??. The one side that was undermining Trump’s presidency for 4 years with the Russian collision hoax, that suppressed the Hunter laptop story, which proved true, etc, etc is at it again claiming she did not lose. Give me a break! There is no credibility, and people is snapping out of it. Come November, the winter is coming for a lot of failed politicians.
I think the words that have to be taken from this is, as Captain Burnham stated, “peace, understanding, connection, a better tomorrow”. Star Trek teaches and shows us what we could be at our very best. I think for everyone to strive for peace, understanding, connection and a better tomorrow that’s the world we need to build and strive for. Everyone deserves a voice, no matter their politics, views or beliefs. History shouldn’t be forgotten but learnt from, so that mistakes are never made again. We could be a great world, it’s just unfortunate that I won’t live to see it in my lifetime.

I felt a great disturbance in the force, as if millions of 4Chan users hurled their gaming microphones across the room and were, therefore, suddenly silenced
What's the music called near the end of the clip when going across Earth?
“ You know we see hundreds examples every day that, go woke, go broke. How should we address that? Should we do some self reflection, critical thinking, and maybe get away from failed wokism?”
“ Oh no, we should find the most bigoted, hate filled, radical, insane woke liberal that we can possibly find, to put on our show. That should drive in the new viewers.”
i'm pretty much convinced that it is no longer a show dependent on viewers. rather it's likely a show that is purposed as propaganda and funded by Soros and the likes. but I agree with your sentiments and that is the line of thinking that any rational producer should be thinking.
@@AF-dn2bz I said many years ago that Hollywood wasn’t after the bottom line, they were after an agenda. For example, there are still likely hundreds of thousands if not millions of people who will not watch a movie or show if it has profanity or other unnecessary filth in it. And there’s never been a person that said, “I’m not going to watch that because it just doesn’t have enough cussing “. But there are many people who won’t watch it because of the cussing. So, in reality, studios are willing to lose millions upon millions of dollars to shove junk down our throats that we don’t want.
I love Star Trek but I was boycotting Discovery before it was cool. The blatant leftist propaganda prevented me from watching a single episode. I was so excited when I heard there was going to be a new Trek franchise, but that immediately turned to disgust and bitter disappointment when I heard that Discovery was to be used, first and foremost, as a vehicle for progressive ideology. Blech.
Discovery was designated from the get go as a show that would not be allowed to fail in order to (supposedly) prove the nay-sayers wrong.
