Food outisde Gluttonous street such as otak-otak fried kuoy teow, hokkien fried mee, hainan rice ball, mee bandung, asam pedas, hainan chicken chop, beef soup, morning satay, kuay chap, etc. MCA Bentayan Hawker Center at night offers more than 20 local Chinese foods in one stop.
@@FoodHunter which shop? Top listed foods are scattered around Muar city, not in the Bentayan hawker center. All of them are within walking distance of no more than 10 minutes. Malaysia google may be different with the version you used. None of them is permanently closed. Bentayan hawker center is still opened as usual, starting from 6 Pm. It was closed for a year for renovation some time ago, already resume for business after MCO.
@@FoodHunter my last visit to bentayan hawker center was 3 weeks ago. The place is quite crowded after 7pm. The food quality is not as high as old restaurants in the city center. It caters mainly for local chinese folks after dusk. if there is shut down, local politician is the first one to bark against MCA, the owner of the hawker center and appear in the local top news.
Wanton mee should undergo "cold shower " & back to warm water to make it brittle. There should not be any short cut to prepare it. Char sieu is not heated from coal fire but heat on fiery pan . Wonder Fool

All food handlers should wear masks as spit guards (especially the Lu San guy) and gloves when handling food. Bare hands are a no no
