As a dutch guy, i think the italian food is the best u get in europe , the country itself is also amazing...
I agree. A close second is French food. And I also loved the food in Portugal, Sardinia, Spain and Greece.
Everything looked so deliciously homemade and perfectly browned, especially the shell of the cannoli and crust of the arancini! Looks like you guys had a blast. Thank you for such a fun video😍
Deana: even if I can't speak Italian, I think, you pronouncing Italian great.
I lived in sicily a year on the other side and the food is so amazing. Palermo was great for street food in fact it's actually something the city is famous for. If you ever go again pani ca muesa or as bread with spleen is a big one but if you're less adventurous panelle or chickpea fritters are also good. Arancini was one of my favorite foods and granita is also a staple. We actually used to eat it with the brioche you had with ice cream for breakfast and the gelato con brioche was also so popular for breakfast. This video definitely made me miss it.
Italy was long overdue! Potentially the most liked country for food?
I guess! Italy has so much variety
Definitely in Europe at least!
Until you visit Greece and Turkey
@@user-lz9hp6zm9i I’ve been in Greece it’s a wonderful country
@@user-lz9hp6zm9i no...not at all...
oh, that pistachio icecream looked so good 😲 traveled through italy as a student and it's still there that i had the best breakfast i can remember. simple coffee and croissants.
I miss Italy, great memories thank you 🙏
I just got back from Sicily but I already miss its flavors😋
Same!
Just over a quarter of an hour of pure smiling joy and Joie de Vivre by our two delightful hosts! So great, thank you guys!!🎉❤
So funny, we JUST booked a trip to Sicily in a few weeks. Perfekt glimpse of what's to come, thanks for all the inspiration!
Ahhh! Hope you have an amazing time! Lots to see and eat!
Just keep an eye on your purse , wallets iPhones they so easily disappear, that’s everywhere in Italy and the rest of Europe unfortunately 😢
Awesome, we are going there in a couple of months.
Those rice balls look very tasty! I want to travel to Italy.
soooo good!
Great stuff! Always looking foreward to your new video's. Grüße aus den Niederlanden. Much love
Welcome back! Rewatched your Thailand videos with my 1.5 year old son when he couldn't sleep last week. Such a joy to watch 😄 can't wait to visit those countries for their food. This video is a great watch too, can't wait already for the next video, makes me excited to go there one day 😎 cheers from Maastricht (you should visit it one day, nice food around here too)
Ahh that's awesome! We have a lot of old Thailand videos! We are glad you enjoyed them and hopefully you can get some sleep soon! 💜
I’m loving Phil’s hair! ❤
Yeah, he's got a Theo Von thing going on. Biz up front Party in the rear!
I guess only Deana will have a taste of it though. 😁
Ahh last year, I traveled to Italy and visited Lake Como and San Gimingano (town within Tuscany). It was an amazing experience. I had the BEST pesto and that was the only thing I ate for dinner and lunch because of how hot it was (aside from gelato).
Good job on correcting your pronunciations on the voiceover Deanna, brava!
Enjoy your cruise! 😀
This was a great episode again 🙂👍
I can't believe I missed your Italian Italy videos. Everything looks beautiful and delicious❤
I’m a new subscriber, and I just wanted to say I love you guys! Your chemistry is so great, and your down-to-earth natures make you both so pleasurable to watch. Keep eating delicious foods, and keep up the great videos! ❤
Enjoy your videos so much. Wonderful seeing your opinions of Italian food, since I've eaten that. Most of what you show I've never had the chance to try. I could be very happy eating in Italy. I love the square pizza in Rome and the gelato! Well and most everything.
Love Aranchini balls and cannoli. The little fish is probably anchovies
Great authentic collection of Palermostreet food! So simple just with good ingredients.
I've been waiting for this Vlog , I adore Italian Food ❤
Check out Granita. Its awesome! Its like suuuupersoft crushed and minced (water)ice, flavored with juice or coffee or liquor. The consistency is like sorbet, but softer and not that dense...hard to describe...like a fraction of a bit of more frozen slushy, It usually comes with that ( o ) boob style brioche, a espresso and a cup of water.
I think the closest thing is the shaved ice that you get in hawaii, but I never had that myself - but it looks the same.
Everything looked tasty, and the prices were fair, like you Deana, I need some tartare sauce to go with my fresh fried seafood, but it looked good too. Thanks for taking us along, see you soon!
Italian food is the best in the world ❤
0:55 Phil went full Italian when he had his Cappuccino...
Amore Mio Italiano 😅 Grüße aus Hamburg der Fisch-Stadt! Bei zusehen habe 7ch sofort Appetit auf Pizza bekommen 😋😋😋
You should try to go too Croatia 😊🇩🇰
Ciao Everyone! Thanks for everyone who caught that mistake at the 9:00 mark! It should be €4 = $4.36, based on time of filming. We hope you all are hungry for some more delicious dishes! We are currently editing (and drooling) through some of these other cities! What is your favorite Italian Street Food item?
I just love seeing these foodthingies so much. Especially since i'll never go there (don't like to travel), but they give me so much inspiration to make other foods at home. Thank you🍀
Really nice video. Nice tour. The food looked delicious. Great info. Thanks and take care.
Awesome and delicious video! We’re heading there soon. Great travel videos ❤
Love Italy & Italians!
Sicilian Street food mouth watering... Good presentation! Thanks!!!
we love the 🇵🇸 scene
Hi Deana and Phil . Welcome back - happy to see you again. Thank you guys💖💖💖
Can’t wait to visit! This place looks amazing ❤
Please remember. No Cappuccino after Noon. People will give the evil eye ❤
A missed opportunity! jk! Thanks! Only caffè in the afternoon?
I would've tried the same things you both did, for sure. I'm wondering if you noticed less garlic in the authentic food than you'd probably get in Italian-American food?
You have to try granita and brioche, so good at breakfast. My favourite is granita di gelsi, mulberry granita, but also lemon is a classic and, being in Sicily, almond and pistachio too. I love that island
Enjoyed the video!
3:50 mark: That looks amazingly good! 6:50 mark: We call that "deep dish pizza" here in the USA. It's quite common, actually, though I doubt any of it is as good as what you had there. Lol.
That little portion of lasagna looks perfect for me! I can't eat a lot at one time, so that suits me just fine. 👍😊
Nice episode!
... and now I'm hungry. 😵 *marching toward the kitchen* 👣
Shout out to Tabasco where I grew up at my grandparents house was like 5-10 mins down the road from Avery Island where they make it
I'm happy that you are having such a wonderful time in Sicily.
Yumm 😋
Cappuccino is smaller than Latte , in Germany, too😁
Yum. When I visited Italy, I really enjoyed afternoon cappuccinos.
Leave the gun, take the cannoli. 😁
I hope you've been in Taormina and Siracuse! I ate there THE BEST pistacchio gelato and octopus. Ofcourse all of the seafood was great, but that octopus...damn I am dreaming about it sometimes 😂
9:01 Looks like you got the EUR-USD conversion reversed? 4 EUR would be a little more than 4 USD (€4 = $4.35).
🙏Thanks everyone for good compliments to my wonderful country, Italy....all of you are welcome🥰by from ROMA🇮🇹👋👋
Guys, come on, you had to go to Sicily to discover arancini and Sicilian pizza (no too different focaccia)? Even Wegmans market all over east coast has got those. At least you got the real deal! Good job, guys, enjoyed the tour👍🏻
I’m curious to hear what cruise you are taking. It seems like an easy way to see a lot of ports in Italy
Everything looks delicious. I'm digging Phil's new haircut.
Czech Republic or Slovakia next please!
So many places to see and food to eat!
They sell the "pizza" in Italian bakeries in the states.
Haaaa so jealous ! Have fun !
Love the Mahomes haircut, Phil!!❤❤❤
I want to go there. Hope you have more Sicily stops.
sandwich icecream, awsome and special....we did not know this in germany ;-) but i prefer still currywurst .. cool channel..have a nice day
I need an Italian trip for sure
I missed what cruise you took but these ports would be fabulous. I want to see Phil at the buffet on ship.
You didn't try the "milza" panino, or the "carne di cavallo", or "taiuni". Now those are strictly Sicilian. Glad you are enjoying the food! Big ciao from Calabria, Italy.

I would prefer Granita over Gelato. The Arrancini are also delicious.
Next time go for the Parmigiana, i could eat it every day! And do not miss Pizza Mortaza with Mozzarella fior di latte, fresh Mortadella and some crushed Pistazio on top!
But both is usually not a takeaway ;)
You have to try red shrimps from mazara del vallo
You have to try the real focaccia - only the dough with seasalt and oliveoil on it - don't need more 😉😉. I grew up in Milano and this was the best thing ever and they sold it at school for very little money - have much fun on your further Italy Tour! 👋👋
Very nice video. I’m very hungry now lol.
Brioche & gelato is breakfast item in Sicily ....
Did you find the Italian Doenner sandwich?
Sicilian pizza is my favorite, followed by gelato. [or do both!]
Hot pizza is my favorite Italian street food!
Hey Phil, did you haven't eaten a sandwich with coconut ice cream in Thailand, I think you would like that too.
Viva la Siciliaaaaa, un saluto da Napoli🙂
Never heard of Aranchini. Is it typical around Italy?
Yes They are typical of Sicily, but you can also find them in other parts of Italy even if the best ones are in Sicily! And the same goes for Cannoli
2 euros for an espresso??? 2.50 for a capuccino? I always pay 1 euro for an espresso, where did you go? It all looks delicious anyway
🙌😍
What did Princess Leia buy at the Italian bakery?
Only one cannoli. 😂
I think the square of pizza would be my favorite.
Hi guys don't forget to try a really good carbonara or my favorite chicken Alfredo. Would like to see that.
With all of the food tasting that you guys do have you ever had any digestive issues after trying something?
Absolutely! After this video we were fine though, just ate a little too much!
I am going to respectfully be a purest here. Calling Sicily Italy is basically the same as calling Bavaria Germany. While technically correct, neither place likes their individual identity being taken away. This was pointed out to me by both when I visited and called them that. Your videos are wonderful.
Ancora con la storia dei mafiosi?
Scommetto che in Germania siete tutti brava gente... ?
You all didn't try the spleen sandwich 🥪 Sicily is known for?
Love from Asia ❤
Whats the name of the main street?
Bij de aldi hebben ze ook kleine lasagne
Some of those foods you tried are not really Sicilian. They are found elsewhere in Italy. You could have tried the spleen sandwich, olives, cheese, desserts and many others that are unique to Sicily.
I can't believe how inexpensive the street food is that lasagna and eggplant pizza for $3 was a bargain
Be careful at 09:03:
4 euros = 4.35 dollars...
To this day, the euro is still stronger as a currency than the US dollar.
😉😊😊
Shoot! You got me hungry now.
9:05 oops... $1 off (too low).
Ahh Thanks for catching that!
You have not tried any pesti yet? Your hair looks very aerodynamic by the way Phil.
On 7:56 what was the street signs saying? What cross were you on? All the streets have names.. just not ....
