[INTRODUCTION]

Television has finally become good again with Monogatari returning
Anime is saved!
I completely forgot that snakes are associated with rebirth (shedding of skin). A girl who was so pampered and self-centered is now walking a path where you have to take criticism (mangakas/artist). She's now saying things like she's glad life can be difficult, that it's worth putting effort in.
I truly want to see Nadeko become her best self. And I'm grateful to Nisionsin for showing such growth is possible.

@@raisa1501specifically novel release order, because I do think the anime was released differently. Also a good thing to know is that especially in the beginning, it will feel like you missed context but I think this is on purpose as the author likes his mysteries. For example the bakemonogatari books talk about events that happen in Kizumonogatari but Kizu hasn’t been published yet when Bake released. If you’re anything like me, it gets less confusing when you actually get into it.

Does it enhance the experience to read what I can of the light novels first, or should I not bother since I've watched all of the anime and movies so far?
For monogatari series, i think only anime is fine
i think it defininitely adds to the experience, the anime cuts out a lot of dialogue that's in the novels. i'm at the second season in the novels and i've enjoyed reading them.
Spend next 10 years learning japanese and living in Japan. Wait for the series to end in both light novel and Anime. Trust me it's worth.

From my experience the light novels are a little better at conveying the nuances of the story, plus you get more insight about the lore and the inner dialogues of the characters. The anime cuts out certain scenes for the runtime. My recommendation is to watch the anime first and then read the light novels if you want the full experience. The manga is pretty good too, but it changes things more drastically than the anime, including altering the chronology and adding its own lore, so I would recommend leaving it for last.
Unfortunately the Monster Season and Off-Season light novels have not yet been published in English for whatever reason. The only way to read them at the moment is fan translations.
