I'm nearly bursting, waiting for the Ananda Nano review tbh.
I am one of those people that was brought into this hobby because of gaming indirectly (I loved music of course too). But I notice a lot of youtubers and streamers in the gaming space use audiophile gear as opposed to gaming headset and was interested, slipping into this rabbit hole. Then, getting my first nice set of headphones and starter dac/amp (DT 990 and an older Fosi model) made me fall in love with music all over again. Not that I recommend spending this much money on gaming, but playing competitive FPS games with Focal Utopia definitely gives you an advantage.
Damn, a Utopia no less. Well, at least it is a great all rounder for music and gaming I guess. For me the 800s covers those bases, but is still crazy overkill for gaming.

@@wavetheorysound RME ADI-2 Dac FS and RebelAmp. Looking to upgrade to a GSX-Mini or something in that ballpark in the future, but for now enjoying the green machine. 2020 Utopias btw, got a great deal on them in the used market at the beginning the year.

If i buy this and lets say i buy a xduook amp can the amp connect to the fosi audio ?
Hey there! Great review! I'm a beginner audiophile who plays games as well. I just got the HE400SE, and as you would well know, at 100 volumes on my i7-10th gen ROG Strix gaming laptop (Windows 10), they're just okayish loud. Naturally I had plans to get a dac amp. I'm getting these for 63$, getting the E10K Olympus 2 for 56$ and after watching rave reviews online, also seeing the FiiO KA13 for sale at 65$. Which one out of these would churn out the best out of the 400SE. Or if you, like other reviewers suggest that for the best possible headroom I need at least something like FiiO K11, should I buy that one? The K11 costs more than the options mentioned above (145$), so will have to save for a month or so.

@@afraza5946 being new isn't a problem. I still do entry level reviews to help out those just getting started. While a stand-alone or outboard (of your pc) dac will improve overall sonic performance, it's not essential yet. You can still use your PC's onboard dac and connect it to the SK01 with a 3.5mm to 3.5mm cable - often called an "aux cable." That should give your cans sufficient power and then you can save up for a dac down the road.

Could you link that head fi thread where people answer why they got into the audiophile hobby? I wanna know what does drugs have to do with getting into audio gear lol. I personally got into this hobby just because I wanted an open back headphone as closed backs were uncomfortable for long hours.
