Jess try grating an onion into your dishes. I did this throughout my three kids lives, lol. You need about a quarter of an onion grated into any recipe calling for chopped onions. It disappears into the dish but flavors it so well. My daughter in law said my son kept saying dishes didn't taste like mine...and then I shared the secret. I used my zester for grating. Both Bunkies will love it. 😊
Jess, you can make your mom's/ MaMaw's meatloaf in a muffin pan and freeze what Bunkey doesn't eat since you don't like meatloaf. Plus, you could add onion to some and some without.

Loved watching you and your mom. I just wanted to make a suggestion about meatloaf. I shape mine into a loaf and bake it on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. You get a really nice crust all the at around this way AND all the grease naturally drains out onto the baking sheet! Oh and I don’t add onion to mine. I just add onion powder or dehydrated onion flakes. 😊

It's almost like rice but it's really pasta.😋 Everyone has their own way of making meatloaf. When I was growing up my mom would add onions and bell peppers. I make mine a little differently, I no longer add onions and peppers. I always add a splash of Worcestershire sauce to bring out the flavor. Instead of breadcrumbs, I usually add oatmeal with enough milk to be absorbed. But we've always added mustard, about a third of your mom's. Oregano isn't a staple in ours either. Are onions the only reason you don't eat meatloaf? You can add them to half of the meatloaf and leave them out of the other half. Or as someone else suggested, use the muffin tins to bake the mini meatloaf in. It bakes so much faster. The salsa verde chicken looked wonderful too! Soaking chicken in almost anything will enhance the flavor. Then popping on the cheese at the end makes it perfect! 😚 I recently marinated chicken in Italian dressing. I added the marinate to the chicken as it was cooking. It was such a nice flavor then I squeezed some fresh lemon juice on. These simple recipes are so good and have few ingredients. It doesn't have to be complicated to be good!😉 We would love to see more recipes like these, they all look fantastic! And recipes passed down for generations are the best!🤩 Sometimes I don't know what I'm making for dinner. I might grab meat from the freezer and more ingredients from the pantry and fridge. You just get a sense of great dishes after cooking for a while. You've been bringing us such great recipes for a while now! And we enjoy all of them!👍 Thanks for sharing another great video!🥰

Hi Jessica! Did you know you can put pots and pans directly on the Blackstone? If Bunky would not have put oil on the entire griddle, you could’ve cooked your rice right on the griddle instead of using the propane in the camper. We do this all the time and it teaches the kids all the camping possibilities!

I used to not like onions in meatloaf either, mainly the crunch of them, but if you sauté the onions before you add them to the meatloaf mixture you don’t get the crunch but still get the onion flavor in it. Also, to not have all the grease puddle in the bottom of the pan add a few pieces of loaf bread to the bottom before you add the meatloaf. The bread soaks up most if not all of it! I’ve done this for years and it works every time! Hope you try these tips! Love watching y’all’s videos!
