Hi, Jenny! Yes, the Canon Camera Connect app can transfer movies as well as still images to your iOS device. Keep in mind, of course, that movie files are bigger than still image files and they'll take significantly longer to transfer as a result. We hope this helps!

My g7x no longer allows me to connect wirelessly to any of my devices (ipad, iphone, macbook pro). I used to for the first year but once I got a new phone it stopped working. When I try to sync my new phone to the camera I get to the step where I am suppose to click yes to allow my phone access to the photos on the memory card and when I click yes it immediately says failed to connect. Any help would be appreciated.
Hi Marc! If you have a new phone you will want to set up a new connection to your devices. We would suggest clearing your camera settings as show in the article in this link. Canon.us/mb629 Once you have done that, follow the steps in this video to establish a new connection. If you still receive an error, our support agents will be happy to walk you through the process. Hello! I hope you are able to see this comment~ I have tried to send videos over to my iPhone/iPad using the wifi several times, however, the quality of my video or image is not as clear as if I imported the SD card in my laptop. Any tips or suggestions that would make the quality of my image/video the same imported the SD card into my laptop? Thank you!
Hi, Carissa! In order to reduce transfer time and to keep movie files from occupying up big chunks of your mobile device's memory, a compressed version of each movie is sent over. You'll find more information on this topic on page 161 of the camera's manual under the heading "Notes on Sending Images." Check it out at canon.us/ryem Hope this helps!

Change the network my phone is currently connected to, to this new network. 4. Go back to the camera, select images etc to send 5. This (minus the app) must be done every time images needs to be transferred. This cant be anything but a joke. Why cant the camera just autoconnect to known networks, like the iphone does? A trusted Iphone detected: want to send? Boom. Done.
