I catched a bunch of them one morning and left them in a plastic container/jar with lid outside, next morning i went check them out they were all dead. Looks like heat and humidity killed them.
I have them in my shelter belt I planted ten years ago, I'm treating mine currently with tempo. But you have to do it when they're tiny like now. I'm thinking of using seven dust if this doesn't work. A good sprayer can spray up on the tree pretty high. You may have to get a tall step ladder and go all the way around it spraying the darn things.
same with me. So many on my arborvitaes. I've now bought a backpack sprayer to do the preventative spraying of the arborvitaes so they don't come near them.
Leave the little guys alone they worked hard to build that house😢 and plus they make a symmetrical structure out of whatever they can find and it's a warm

Thats what i did pick them then dump them far away from my tree.. i just noticed them in August damaged ready done killed half my tree

I heard Neem oil works? or some other pesticide product. The local nursery would know what to do, if they sell evergreens
