back in 2001 when ever one was going b series i decided to boost my d16. after 2 fun cars of being boosted the d16 has always had a sweet spot in me. in this chasis i would imgaine even the na is plenty of fun and this is definitely my kind of build. im not trying to win drag races, just something with alittle more passing power and still great drivebility and liability. im curious to know if this kit is just a simple bolt on application or welind of frame is needed. ive only watech 3 videos of the completed d swaps. and aslo does this kit if a 70 austin america? im inquiring becuase its time to get my son his first car and mini coopers are just out of the price range.
Would this work with an automatic gearbox with 13-inch wheels? I would love to know how you guys managed to keep the aircon in some of these! I really want to make my own mini daily drivable and more comfortable to sit in traffic
The engines we use for our builds are fully rebuilt and blueprinted, and the same engine package is available for sale. Send us an email at mail@stevestonmotorco.com if you'd like more specifics
We almost exclusively run 10s, sometimes 12s, and very very rarely 13s. We use the gearbox and longer final drive from the base model civic to keep the car usable.
I'll never convert my A series to a Honda engine, but still I enjoy these videos. This looks like a proper piece of kit.
I love the fabricated look of crossmember particularly that its not just done with tubing as you tend to see a lot of conversion stuff done
Stunning design and execution. You've really gone the extra mile on this installation.
Love how you guys work - from engineering to install.
PLEASE do this with the "new" Mini. Its a platform waiting for this kind of love..
Really great work. I don't possess a Mini but this is very useful for ideas for other cars.
Very interesting, kindly share the provisions you made for the A/C components and cluster gauges. I can not wait for part 3 of this build series.
So satisfying to watch👏😎
Everything’s easier when you have all the correct tools and parts.
Very clinical😊 precise engineering 😊
Does the ground clearance change? compared to original. Thanks for the great videos. Hope you upload a longer video of driving experience.
Your videos are awesome!

When is part 3 coming?
Will you guys eventually start selling the subframe and engine as a full kit?
Used engines are always a gamble. I don't think they want that responsibility.

Sorry if you've covered this already But, Do you need to run 13" wheels to keep similar gear ratios? Can 10" wheels work ok?

Thanks. This is my dream build for my mini. One day!
where is the thermal insulation on the firewall?
😮😮
Please run over to harbor freight & pick up an electric ratchet. It felt like i was watching my grandad work on his motorcycle 😂
