What you do is snap on the domed lid and fill it through the hole all the way up into the dome. Also, the machine can’t be in defrost mode. LOL😂
That's the most disappointing part of getting a slushy, when you walk in and the machine hasn't cooled it down yet.
Just a tiny random American tip for Aiden, when you fill a slushy cup with that bubble type lid on it, it’s absolutely ok and also expected, to fill that bubble lid till it’s just starting to overflow. And it’s also ok to start drinking it immediately if you want lol.

Buc-ees is privately-owned. The family who own Buc-ees can offer quality and value because they don't answer to shareholders who want maximum profitability (meaning high prices on cheap products). In many areas, Buc-ees is the only store for miles, so yes, they do carry everything.
I mean technically, Buc-ees is not a gas station, its a truck stop. There is a distinction.
@@jackastor5265 Bucees is absolutely not a truck stop. In fact there are very few diesel pumps, and you'd struggle to get a semi truck turned in under those canopies. Buc-ee's is made for automobile travelers. There is a Buc-ee's near where I live, and I'm not sure I've ever seen a semi truck fueling up.

@@jackastor5265 Buc ee's specifically does not allow semi trucks because they want to keep it family oriented and clean. No semi trucks are allowed at Buc ee's, so its not a "truck stop".

I've seen so many reactions to Buc-ee's by now that I feel like I've been there myself, but I haven't yet. It does seem like a godsend for travelers looking for a safe, clean fuel and bathroom break particularly when traveling at night.
Definitely worth a visit.
Ooh mate, while I was visiting the US East Coast, I found meself stopping in at every Buc-ee’s I drove by. Is like a wonderland in there. My God the food was incredible. Definitely need to treat yourself if you haven’t.

Technically speaking yes but you cannot always trust that these days they have tons of different styles and shapes, We know for a fact some service tech replaced the handle on one and just changed over the color cover on the handle that would mean the nozzle would be incorrect size not to say it is right or wrong but just be careful but they were not charged because it is the person filing up responsibility to fill up with the right fuel.
Technically, they don't "fit", but that does not stop everyone. My parents have owned convenience stores for 35+ years and have had people pump diesel into their gasoline powered vehicles. I vividly remember one that I believe happened about 7 or 8 years. Their mechanic told them what happened and their child supposedly admitted that she likely accidentally did so, but they wanted to look at the video of it for some reason a few days afterwards. Our cameras showed their teenage daughter maneuvering the nozzle to pump diesel into her mother's car. I understand that she was a new young driver, but I am still confused how it happened because I knew the difference between the fuels since I was in the single digits and there are big signs next to the nozzles that label it as diesel.
Not in Mexico. The American YT couple from F N A Vanlife found out the hard way. Green is gas and black is diesel there and the gas attendant lady put diesel in their gas tank. Luckily not an expensive mistake considering they didn't start the engine and there happen to be a auto repair shop next door.
I've been powering my Tesla with diesel for the past 3 years. It technically didn't fit, but I figured out a way to fidget it in there.

Part of the reason that gas/petrol is cheaper in the US is because of the convenience stores (or in Buc-ee's case, grocery store). They make fairly little on the actual petrol/gas and make up for it with everything else they sell.
And we tax it way less
Well and we produce gas/oil too. Especially Texas.

Been visiting Buckeyes for over 20 years. It has only gotten better over time and it is always a welcoming site to find them as they spread around the country.

I've never been to a buc-ee's because I've never lived in a part of the states where they have one but it looks like a grocery store sized gas station. It's insane! It's mind-blowing to me as an American who is used to these giant warehouse sized stores! This was a really entertaining video guys thanks

Such a cool place, they used to be Texas only, thats where they started, they just recently just stated putting them in other states, like Florida, Alabama, etc.

I never heard of Buc cees. Must be a southern state place. Up here in Iowa we have the world’s largest truck stop. It’s pretty crazy. Love watching your adventure here in the U S. I wish you could have enjoyed a college football game. Enjoy the rest of your trip
Buc-ee’s is a Texas chain of locations going back over 40 years and about 20 years with the huge travel centers.
They just started expanding outside of Texas about 4 years ago, all in southern states but are now heading west also with a new location opening in the Spring of ‘24 in the Denver, CO metro area with 116 fueling stations.
Yeah it’s a southern thing. More specifically, it’s a Texas thing. It is specifically not a truck stop, it’s designed for people driving cars to stop at.

If that is the Bucees in Athens, Alabama it is about fifteen minute drive to Tennessee line. That store is new. Only been open a few months.
It is the one in Athens/Tanner area. It opened November 2022.
-Bucee s also carries tires and repair accessories for travelers and truckers.

This was so fun. Used to pass by bucees quite often driving from city to city. You really have to make time for a stop there otherwise it’s impossible to get in and out quickly!

Love this! I went to my first Bucees this past August. It was pretty overwhelming! I got some kind of deli sandwich and a solid red Bucees cap with the beaver mascot on the front. 😁

If you go through Birmingham, there's a lot of amazing places to eat there, from smoked barbecue to breakfast spots to family Mexican restaurants to all sorts of things. Great underrated food town.
Yea there's a great little tiny Mexican restaurant in the Square of Pell City we stopped at one time going to Birmingham

Always love stopping at a Buc-ee’s on a road trip. When we did our trip to Texas a few months ago we stopped at 6 different Buc-ee’s. They’re always packed but it’s fun to stop by and grab some fuel and snacks.
I love Buc-cee’s! I live in Florida and have been to one several times. And now they’re building one about 10 minutes from me. That will definitely be big trouble for me because I always want everything in there!
Buc-ees started just down the road for me. They are successful because they are Brightly Lit, have Clean Bathroom and are well staffed no matter what time of day; if they are open, they are safe for a single woman. It's great how they've taken off. Ours is very small and I had to go fifty miles to find one with snacks (now even mine stocks them)

Yes, Bucee's started in Texas. I live in Georgia, USA, and it was the pandemic before I had heard of them. Kara and Nate did a video of the first one in Texas back in 2021. since I saw that video, they seem to be popping up everywhere. We went into one in Florida. From what I understand, the guy who started it was nicknamed Buccee as a kid because he had buck teeth and kids said he looked like a chipmunk. Parents got him braces and straightened them, but the nickname stuck through his school years. When he opened his first store, he called it Buccee's and put a cartoon chipmunk picture on the front of the store. Now that is the chain's mascot.
A couple of weeks ago we saw the Giants vs Patriots and on the way back to Arkansas we stopped at a Buckees in Tennessee and it was my first time. My son's girlfriend insisted we stop. It was impressive to be sure. The bathrooms were larger than most of the other stations we stopped at. And yes a lot of money can be spent there.

Love Buc-ees, have one 30 minutes away and its as fun as Disney World for adults. Cant leave without spending at least $150 per visit though.

You are at the Bucees anout 5 miles from my house. You were about 20 miles from from Huntsville Alabama the home of NASA and the original Space Camp . Sorry you missed it. It’s a great town. More rocket scientist than anywhere in the world per capita.
we have to Buc-Ee’s in Florida soon to have three. I don’t pass them often. I think I’ve been three times. I love to go, several times we have passed the opportunity by because generally you spend a lot of time there and if you’re in a hurry, which most cases we have been, we don’t wanna spend an hour inside Buc -Ee’s . But their brisket is awesome I get one every time I’m there and the beef jerky. I think I’ve only gotten gas there once!
Mom is such a good sport for sitting in the back so the boys could have fun in the front.
We’ve taken a road trip once or twice a year for the past 7 years. Bucees is always a MUST. Living in Texas we are pretty spoiled with the abundance of them…. Kids are getting older and not as patient.
