The book needing to be held out is a detail I’ll be sure to remember. I’ve just been casting the alt fire and switching to another weapon immediately and wasn’t getting the full buff. *Very* valuable info that makes tomes much more useful
except this invalidates tome as a viable option in any sort of scenario beside: I installed Warframe yesterday and I wanna play a mage.
@@cheesejuice_ I don’t see any issue with having a secondary purely for utility and status application. Not every story awarded weapon after the Nataruk *has* to be the Nataruk or better. If everything was focused purely on damage and KPS all the time for the rest of the game’s lifespan, it’d get stale and boring rather fast
@TheEvanDude112 exactly. If every new weapon in general had to be stronger than the previous than there would be a point where the game becomes dull and repetitive since everything can oneshot anything.

@@MagikarpMan which is why we need more weapons like the grimiore that don't follow the power creep meta but force you to use your weapon in more of a utility or primer way without being overfully op.
Grimoire has some decent synergy with Zephyr. Shooting her tornado counts as hitting all the enemies in the tornado, allowing you to recharge your Alt Fire in an instant. Further, Turbulence can make your Alt move faster, and grouping enemies together with the Tornado or Airburst makes it easier to hit enemies with either fire mode.
What incantation/canticle would you be using on a Tornado Zephyr? Armor reduction and energy regen?

God, rotation C on Mirror Defense is so horrendously miserable. Frankly, I feel like Mirror Defense really shouldn't have stuck to the AABC pattern of reward pools, because this makes it the single slowest rotation in the entire bloody game, even slower than survival, whilst at the same time you have to play a lot better because it's way easier to fail.
It would be more bearable if they had axi relic rewards on rotation (a2) and b and removed stupid rewards like credits.
@@azwanazmi1484 That'd be nice as well. There's not anywhere near enough good Axi farms in the game and running Apollo over and over again gets boring.

Something interesting about Lohk Canticle, and presumably the other mods but I haven’t tested yet, is the Fire Rate boost applies to Necramechs when an ally gets the buff triggered

Depends how far you stretch “viable”. It works and can do stellar damage but it’s not fast

Hi, I am a recently converted Lavos main, and wanted to know what build you’re using. I might shell out some plat for that ability strength or efficiency page so I can add more range.
also if you use a flare you can make jahu one better well maybe idk if they even remember that flares boost affinity range

I don't have any of the invocations or canticles yet, so instead I abuse the infinite ammo and auto trigger to really abuse +fire speed from buffs like Harrow and/or Duviri. Just spraying shock balls everywhere
I find it best to treat Grindy game modes like this as a leveler’s paradise, forma something watch it level up over the course of the runs. Get tome mod every 5x runs. Rinse and repeat.
I am so glad that we now have a wide range of options in the secondary slot, just yesterday I went back and checked out some other secondaries since I was getting a little too attached to this book. Back in the day it didn’t used to be like this where there was only one option for dps and that’s it.
So the only problem I potentially see is that your allies may kill mobs before you get to actually use the book on them.
I saw somone try to sell the one of the rare ones for 150+... 100p isn't to bad to get just selling stuff. Still kinda surprised these mods aren't in the standing shop.

Im sorry to ask this and it's maybe super obvious but what is that Icon for like a clover with the warframe icon 120%? which mod or arcane does that? everyone seems to run it what i understand?
You're probably looking at the Tenacious Bond icon, a companion mod granting +1.2x critical damage to weapons.

only thing I'm kinda confused by is that you didn't mention the status chance (if it has one) in the tome overview because it's an electric projectile... maybe one can pull a ton of status stuff from it (which could increase the kill chance right?)

I'm gonna guess I have to complete Whispers in the Wall to buy the Tome mods from the market. I was gonna buy them in preparation for the release of Dante, but I guess I've got some extra steps to do first.
still dont understand how i actually managed to fine tune the grimoire to cast more alt fires by trial and error when i saw that multishot charges it more
I'm not sure if that has been fixed or not, or if its even a bug, but fire rate buff from Lohk works on Necramechs, and buffs Arquebex too, not very practical, but still its one of few buffs that actually work on necramechs,
Use conjunction voltage you wont regret also my riven has viral so i use ppg and forgo the extra status for crit damage
Galvanized Aptitude with Secondary Encumber rise kill potential quite significantly, though as a weapon it is still on the weaker side.
Considering the extremely slow farming rate (5% * 8 every 25 minutes) my farming strategy for them has been "wait till DE makes proper drop tables or buy the pack when Dante releases if they are useful on him"
For mods that only go on a single weapon (and soon a single exalted weapon), they sure are a pain to get, especially considering they are the main reason to even use that one weapon
It's much faster to farm 140 platinum and straight up buy them from the market, that's what I did.
At this point in the game (after obtaining the Grimoire) you should have a ton of easy and reliable Platinum farms, so getting 140 plat is no trouble.
Honestly just buy the pack. The grind is just not worth the time. Grinding for the tennokai mods would be the better one since its faster.
since you can farm mandonel in that map, you can do both.
now the question will be dante grimoire where all can be placed.
this farm for the mods is such a pain..
my biggest issue with the grimorie is the delayed fire and it also feeling janky with high fire rate.
I wonder if a navigator tome ivara is viable with the right tome mods

@@sentientroomba9452 It does work, and best part is you can drop out of navigator when your health is low, move around to get your health orbs, then jump back in.

one can get 60 strength from the grimoire, 60 strength from molt augmented, is it just me or strength builds might just kick off?

60% from grimoire is hardly kicking anything off when Molt Vigor, Augmented, Umbral Intensify and Power Ramp have been enabling subsuming Pillage onto everything for quite a while, and the strawberry shards only added to it. Invocation lacks the consistency and isn’t attached to the warframe that needs it so it’s more of a bonus to ability damage or healing bonuses than something that pushes strips, DR or slows to the cap

I used a viral secondary encumber build and if I was lucky and got a slash proc it would 1 tick a corrupted heavy gunner, it unreliable but fun :]
I look forward to the promised next Grimoire simply because this one feels awful to use as a weapon and requires you using it as your weapon to make real use of the Grimoire specific mods. Also, it really, REALLY should have been Void damage.

I kinda wish the sound of its normal fire wasn't so...loud and abrasive. Otherwise it's cool.
Its got its own niche, but it doesn't replace all secondaries. which is good. use this with Gyre or Volt, and you'll have a good time. that's without the Tome specific mods too, btw.
I got the Jahu one and so far its served me well enough. people should stop griping and get to farming.

mod that gives a chance for a slash proc every time you apply an impact proc. 35% base or 90% if the fire rate is under 2.5 useful on weapons with forced impact procs like the fulmin for example

Really bold of DE to gate the upgrades that set the Grimoire apart from other weapons behind a game mode that they know many players really dislike.
And then to leave out the pity system that prevented Tyana Pass from being a massive time sink is really just the cherry on the F.U. cake.
I guess the upside is that if you don’t mind spending 3 hours playing steel path Tyana Pass, you can get enough crystals to buy a R5 Arcane Steadfast/Secondary Encumber which’ll sell for more than enough plat to buy the Tome Mod Bundle from the in game market.

I should’ve said that a _lot_ of players do not like mirror defense rather than generalizing the opinion of all players. But honestly I didn’t really know how to word that.
Rotation C? 8 of them? NOPE, just ranked it up to max and then threw it into the locker to never use again.
Laetum is significantly more powerful than the tome is.
Here's my advice to new players getting those mods: farm platinum through prime parts
10 uncommon prinme parts= full card sety from market, do NOT farm this
I found an absolutely nasty grimoire build that decimates SP and even netracell content. It quickly became my favorite secondary.
And no, I'm not sharing my build. I'm going to savor this for as long as I can until others discover it and DE nerfs it into the ground. Because it is absolutely busted.
The amounts of platinum these items were sold at some point surpassed the amount of platinum required to buy it from the market it's a fools errand to buy these I would much rather farm munio for sum extra currency cuz you will need it for other parts of the game anyway!! Everything in the new update areas Zariman Entrsti labs is considered currency farm it players don't buy it!!!!

If for some reason you want the tome mods but don't want to buy the whole set with platinum, just use Xaku, still gonna take a century but at least you don't need to bother actually playing this boring mission

🤓🤓 Uhh akshually, Mr. Kengineer, since the Grimoire is a secondary weapon, it doesn't use Internal Bleeding, it uses the mod Hemorrhage, which is like Internal Bleeding but for Secondaries. The fact that you said the wrong is completely unacceptable and I am going to have to unsubscribe, you take pride in technical stuff you cannot even learn the names right.

Scummy implementation. Have a cool new weapon with its own mods. The next warframe will be built around this by the way. The way to get them? Purely rare random drop from 20 minutes of the least fun mission type with no pity system. Orrrr.... you could pay platinum. Scummy DE. Very scummy. I am a founder and have played on and off since then. I have bought platinum in that time and admired DE's ethical stance in the free to play realm. This is a dirty, slimy, shady step, wriggling their toes over the line. Do not carry water for them over this BS.
eh, its not that bad.. this mod pack was really easy to farm the plat for, esp if you were playing the day the content came out. the melee arcanes were selling for like 50pl each at laaunch, literally just killed the tome boss 4 times and was able to buy it easy.

They honestly just need to make it so that the tome mods can drop in all rotations, and introduce them to other Sanctum Anatomica missions’ drop tables as well.
Or you could just ignore the mediocre secondary that the Grimoire is with it's pay to be usable mechanics

It just sucks cus it has to be equipped. Not worth a gun but you do you, just press dmg ability to nuke all. All canticles are trash. All grouping abilities are trash but you cant even use this without them. Garbage gun for garbage frames.
Buff timers are way too short and aparently Heat doesnt even count as dmg from tome for upkeep purposes.
id almost rather just have augur mods and primed fulmination than galv shot and isotope.. This thing sucks at killing stuff anyway so why even bother boosting its damage at all beyond some status and pure set bonus boosting? might as well contribute to shield gating builds and making the alt fire slightly bigger
