    With the "one channel" program are you still able to scan all the TGs? Or does it just scan the channels? Thanks

    Thank you sharing the information... really good... I’ve purchased an 1801 with the Open firmware preinstalled but cannot find the CPS software including driver and firmwares as all appears to be removed from GitHub ... do you any pointers I could use please? Many 🙏 thanks 😊

      Sadly due to software licensing problems which I don't understand the project has been closed. Somebody complained and all the downloads appear to have been removed.

    Kevin thank you for this video. Can you assist me with my question. How do I program my DM 1801 to use a negative offset for our local analog repeater using GD77?

    • @KevinOReillyswl
      @KevinOReillyswl  2 роки тому +3

      You have two frequency fields in the programming software. One for TX and one for RX. You do not program an offset as such. Just program your TX frequency for the repeater input and the RX frequency for the repeater output.

    Hi Kevin, Many thanks for the info. I'm total newbie with a Baofeng DM-9HX. Can this firmware be installed on this radio? thanks again.

      Hi Tony. I think that your radio is basically the same as a DM5R Tier 2 or an RD5R. THat being the case then yes the firmware should work.

    Is there something special I need to do in the code plug for the RD5R? as I m getting no sound on any of the DMR repeaters in leicester.
    I know with the original firmware for the RD5R you also had to have an RX group assigned else you got no sound.
    Was working great on stock firmware but since upgrading to openGD77 using the codeplug by GM1YME I cant get any sound on any DMR Repeater.

      Nathan you don't need a receive group with the Open firmware. Its difficult to know what is wrong. The most obvious thing is to check that your colour codes are set correctly.

    How do you programme ANALOG channels? Is it still through ZONES? 4S7EF

    • @KevinOReillyswl
      @KevinOReillyswl  3 роки тому

      Yes Analog channels still need to be associated with a Zone

    I got a copy of open dm-1801 firmware and got it installed, now my radio cant be found by CPS software. What has gone wrong?

      Possibly a driver issue. Can you see the programming cable in Windows device manager? It should have a com port allocated to it
