I think it's worth mentioning how incredible jacob&esau's unlocks are, as well as tainted issac's.
Yes, definitely worth mentioning, I should've done that. I tried to focus on really essential unlocks right after starting a new save file. But let me tell you, right after I published the video, I only thought of things I forgot to mention, for example maxing out the Donation Machine as fast as possible. And I really appreciate the feedback!
@@cyanlyonon that idea, what would the fastest way be? i there used to be a bug in afterbirth but now i find it a bit annoying only being able to deposit 20~ a run
@@Mo-mh6wh Yeah... I don't think there is a way to avoid the machine jamming. But playing as Cain, or Azazel should help with the job, Cain because of the trinket, and Azazel for the flight. And I'm not too sure, but I think you can also fill it in Normal mode, and get the same unlocks, so it could be just worth hyperfocusing on the machine, and when it jams, just end the run and start a new one. Upon looking up on this, and based on my knowledge, maybe this is the fastest way to get it to 999 coins. But I'm open to new strategies that I don't know, or didn't think about

I maxed out my donation machine, but I had no idea that putting in ONE more coin to 1000 would break it and set me back down to zero coins. That was absolutely brutal and heartbreaking. I spent sooo much time just focusing on getting that donation machine to max out. 😢

I know what I used to do when I played on the PS Vita… If you play on PlayStation, then maybe you can still do it? I now play on the Nintendo switch, so I can’t do this exploit anymore…
When I played Rebirth on the PS Vita, I would constantly save my save file to the cloud and whenever the donation machine would jam, I would just download a recent save and donate only up until one penny before the jam happened on that floor. I kept repeating that on every floor.
I think Jera(challenge 2) is a pretty good unlock in the beginning as well, since it helps to making upgrade the donation machine sooner if you use it in the a room with a lot of coins.

I feel like focusing on character completion marks would be better. Like, yeah, rubber cement is a really good item but it's not like I have to care about it, I'll beat mom's heart twice anyways. The only important item/trinket that's not completion mark/challenge that I would point out to keep in mind is counterfeit penny.
I understand what you're saying. On some of these I tought of beginner players too. So let's say, they beat Mom's Heart once, they get the ending and might not know what to do after that. Also, me personally, I didn't remember that some of those items had to be unlocked, so I thought I would mention them. But yes, I think most of us are going to beat Mom's Heart as much as we need anyway. Thank you for the feedback!

this really helps me. i play a lot of isaac but i usually stay away from characters i dont think i'd be good with, but some of these items are making me way more consistent.

I'm glad you enjoyed the vid! Also, yes, Epic Fetus could've, and maybe should've been added, since the Family Man (#19) Challenge is not that hard to unlock, you just need to pick up the 2 Key Pieces in one run. I'm really considering making a second part of this or something 😅

Yes, I agree. But there could've been so much more to mention, but when I was editing I was thinking it was already going to be a long video. Tip: either get lazarus and die to mom on your first run or do hard mode to moms heart to unlock one of the earliest broken characters

@@cyanlyon It just sorta happened as I made a new save for repentance and got lazurus on the first run and then beat moms heart with lazurus on hard. I'm still doing it on normal to get all the mark based unlocks that aren't hard mode.

How do you unlock Jacob it says beat ???? And I have beat the blue baby. But i never recived him only blue baby.
To unlock Jacob and Esau you need to beat Mother, the boss that was added in Repentance
@cyanlyon OK thanks. I just defeated Mother 2 hours after I posted this comment and unlocked him. I was confused because it said you must beat ????. I thought that was the blue baby character.
I'm glad you were able to unlock them. As for the question marks, maybe they just didn't want to spoil the final boss's name, or i don't know really
I realized that I only have four of those missing (challenge 12,17,18 and horn) and already have done 17 and 18.
Edit: 12 and curved horn are done too!

The ingame one is a mod called "External Item Descriptions". And for the video, I got them from the Isaac wiki
you CANT Unlock Judas soon since its satan so you have to beat mom a few times M heart a few times And THEN satan
You can actually unlock it as soon as your Second Run. You beat Mom's Foot once you get the ending, you unlock Womb and Mom's Heart, after defeating Mom's Heart you don't get an instant ending, you get the "Ending Chest" to spawn. Now, if you manage to earn a Devil/Angel deal after defeating Mom's Heart. You can progress to Sheol/Cathedral, even before beating Mom's Heart 11 times. That (Mom's Heart 11 times), just unlocks the instant access to the Trapdoor to Sheol, and the Lightbeam to Cathedral.

1 be in rebirth or afterbirth
2 get we need to go deeper
3 use it on depths II
4 get a devil deal
5 kill satan
6 get judus
(Side note when you kill mom for the first time the cuisine plays)
(Also probably do it with azazel because in rebirth and AB he actually shreds crowds)

if i started playing the binding of isac toda, id do this. i would just enjoy the game nadn ot watch an tutorial of what to get i mean itsj ust a gme dont try to rush it all instantly it will run the fun. just play and get anything you can in your way dont go instantly ot rush something. have fun and be happy while you can. until you reach the 100% and you have to look for another game to max.
I understand what you mean by that, therefore I mentioned in the first 5 seconds, that this is my opinion, and this is just a guidance to a new safe file. I didn't tell anyone to do this on every save file all the time. You play the game how you want!
