I prefer Yeezy slides, but Ye's tripping (again). The adilette 22 have the same silhouette as the adilette always have. They're just keeping up with the times. I'll be picking some up cos I've trashed the only Yeezy slides I could get for retail and I'm not paying resale for foam anything

I've had both for months now. So far the Yeezys proved to be way to soft. Most young people don't think about arch support but if you weigh more that 150lbs you really should be looking for a firmer shoe if you're going to wear it all day.
i have the adilette 22 and love them! They fit perfectly! I tried so much yeezy slides, but no size fits me... its either to big or to snug... very weird sizing on the slides if u ask me

I wear a Size 10.5 for 350s
I knew the slides were tight, and my feet are pretty wide so I went with a Size 12 for the Onyx. And they still feel super tight and give me blisters

Hi, and you were right about them being available a few months down the line. There are pairs at my footlockers and champs and also on StockX and maybe even goat the resale is less the the retail. Great video as always!

Nice review its been very helpfull n correct answering all the questions i had in advance.. i dont think i am in line with the oppinion on the take on the design though.. as in the yeezys being more of an timeless design. And even if so, is it really better than.. like would you call a aj1 timeless by jump or did it claim that overtime as is considerd as by now? Anyway like the vid thanks.. btw few weeks later now and the adilette aint sitting as far as i see.. maybe it will change wen more colorways drop. resell price still seems correct
After being at the beach this weekend I will say the yeezy slide is the snow boot of sandal culture it was a tank . Super comfortable and they made it over the sand so easily .
I have a wide foot. Size 11 in most Jordans and can't wear a lot of of shoes if they're just too narrow. Heard the newer Yeezy Slides were more TTS so I was happy when I hit on a couple of the newer releases. My wide foot still doesn't fit even with the size up. Foam RNNR fits though!

Slight similarities but very different and that's mostly with the shape of both. They're both in their own lane imo. It's kinda a reach to say Adidas just "copied" the Yeezy slide to create the Adilette 22 when the Adilette 22 is just a beefy new age version of the OG Adilette

I have a pair of Earth Brown Yzy slides and they are not so soft and comfy.Recently i copped Pure and Green Glows with the new texture and they feel great.
Any idea if there is a better croc alternative?
I went down a whole size for the Adi 22’s and they feel way better. I’m pretty sure they are true to UK sizing.

I've gone true to size for the Yeezy 350 v2 Bone. I've heard they stretch over time since the side material is super thin. Fingers crossed I haven't screwed myself.

Adilette 22's been sold out every for a while, asos had some on their site this morning I just mannaged to get a couple pairs before they sold out. As for yeezys I have the ochre and onyx and they have the same sizing issue as before, maybe because I'm in the uk. But I'm an 11.5uk and had to get a size 13, which fits perfectly.
Yeezy is the winner for me. I bought both of them. I had to sell my yeezy slide black uk9 as its too small, apparently i had to order uk11 for me.
But Adilette 22 is okay with my size but its less comfy and it is slippery against my foot.

I think it’s more the shape and the minimalistic aspect since it’s more round and uses a thick amount of foam

I wasnt a fan of Yeezys at first, but then I got a pair for retail and they are my favorite shows right now. So comfy and add like an inch and a half to height

I went and bought my wife the Onyx slides and went with the YZY 350 sizing but oddly enough she would have preferred a size down and from a YZY standpoint I could have bet my car she would need to size up

Some people say the opposite. The wording text on the side makes it even better.
I'm happy they made this slide inspired by Kanye because it allows everyone to have a chance at a slide given the rarity of coping the slides for retail so it's a.nice alternative.

For long lasting and more adventurous use, the adilete is better because it's gonna look the same overtime because we don't need to be afraid of it to get scratched while yeezy is too sleek and easy to get scratched and will ugly faster.
im a Yeezy fanboy so this a little biased but my Onyx have been great since i have gotten them and my adelite 22s just sit on the ground not being worn most days. Just too uncomfortable and weird looking for me. I do wear them sometimes tho and for the 60 ish i paid compared to the exact $169.58 i paid from stockx for the Yeezy's if you dont have yeezy slides then i would reccomend them if you can get over the looks.
watching this video a month later i own a pair of yeezy onyx's and they def one size up im a true size 9 and i went up to 10 and it fits around my foot perfect!

I think they put the Adidas branding so it's easier to differentiate from copies. Unless it's a straight up replica/fake.
Summary:
Different looks (of cource) Personally, I like and would wear both.
Yeezy Slides prices are around 150, Adilette is $45 at the most (after Adidas 30% membership - it's free)
Yeezy Slide is softer, but wears down faster compared to the adilette which is still super nice underfoot, just a bit less squishy.
Sizing.... we don't talk about that.
You'd be crazy to think you would be wearing the same slides more than 5 years.
If Kanye was to follow his same reasons for copying, then the Nike Yeezy 2s are a copy of the Nike Air Tech Challenges

If you're going to pay resale for yeezy slides you might as well by designer slides like off white or gucci. You can even get plenty of designer slides even on sale.

I’m 12 in Adilette comfort slides and 13 in Adilette Shower slides and Yeezy. For this particular Adilette 22 I went with size 12 and it’s ok, just a little loose. I wish they had 11.5. (11 was too small). So I would suggest sizing half size down
Price
The only reason I don’t care about wether or not Adidas is biting Yeezy slides is because Kanye said he supposedly wants everyone to have a pair of Yeezy’s. And on top of that Yeezy’s are always limited and I will not pay resale on any slides, not adilette or Yeezy, but any extra chance I have at getting a fun looking lounge slide at retail I will take it.

The sizing is so poor from adidas it’s so frustrating. I know you’ve mentioned a couple of times that the adilettes are same size in uk/us but that’s the same on the yeezy slides and the yeezy foams so that’s not new. However I’m a 12 in foams and yeezy slides, but I’m 11 in the adilettes 🤷♂️ doesn’t make any sense definitely something they need to fix!

Ngl. I have slides (onyx) but I like the addilletes (i have 2 , sand and the mixed sand and slime) even more. The sizing is really weird tho. In Jordans/Dunks my size is 10. Yeezy slides is 11 and addilettes is size 9.

Yeezy slides are like the af1 of slides they are so versatile and give you like 2 inches of height that is why i own both (im short 😭)
Why no one, literally no one, is comparing a previous Adidas adilette with this new one? Those are the same silhouette. So Adidas is replicating his own silhouette with Yeezy colors and materials but different texture. As Seth said, Kanye doesn't own colors or materials. And also no one is talking about the real possibility that this is all a stunt to put Adidas slides on the hype map and done it successfully.
Exactly. Adilette are THE slides. The silouette was copied by every other shoemaker bar Nike. They are most popular slides of all time, and all 2022 version is is chunkier version with futuristic materials. The actual look is Adilette, and not even close to Kanye's.

My onyx Yeezys were $385. I'm ordering the Adilettes soon for $60. I want to see the real difference. I only purchased because of my pinched sciatic nerve pain that Crocs couldn't help, especially being a barber and being on my feet and for 10-12 hrs 6 days per week.
I have both and I got my adiletts when they were $44 now they're $55 they aren't soft enough to be $55p
And the winner for me is neither, hehe, i went and tried and purchased sketcher Archfit Slides. they are amazing. Squishy and sooo comfy can keep them on all day, and feels like walking on clouds.

It fits like a normal slide. Kanye has screwed up the sizing thinking you go tts with your slides. I’m a tts 14 in shoes and I’ve always worn a 13 in slides. They don’t have any padding or closure like a regular shoe

Sizing always seems to be affected by where they are manufactured I own hundreds of pairs of Adidas and you can kinda go if they're from this country tight fit, that country true, this other country over size etc. As for this vid Ye's beef is ridiculous his design borrows from the adilette and other designs and the 22 has it's own distinct styling. Re the foam, I actually find the Yeezy slides almost too soft so prefer the ever so slightly firmer feel of the 22's and they don't squeeze your foot so much

@@irishsam83 dude thanks for the heads up. I went to my mall and Footlocker and Champs were both sold out but they mentioned that Shoe Palace had a few pairs left and they had my size in the aluminum color and black so I got an aluminum pair.

I have both long term wearing the adi 22 better, the adi 22 looks better imo as well. Short term the yeezy slides are hella cushiony.
To add to this I do think adi run big I’m an 11 and I have an 11 and a 10 in adis I prefer the 10. Yeezy slides I do a 12.
Alphabounce slides 2 are the best, not squishy but very comfy and firm (with adjustable strap). I hate super squishy, bounce soles have just the right amount of return. I wear super loose indoors, and in some odd occasion where I have to go out, I can tighten it. I could also go for adilette 22 but they are sold out here in India.
Yeezy slides are better ✅
I got a size 10 and they are HUGE. For example I’m a 10 1/2 in most shoes and these almost feel 2 sizes too big so beware. Go a size down at least for sure.
They are very comfortable though I do have to say. Very squishy, just the sizing is all weird.
@@potion95 i agree on the sizing I’m a 10.5 -11 in everything and I got a 10 In the black adilette 22 slide and it’s still pretty big still fits tho. But comfort wise I don’t think it’s any where near as squishy and comfortable as my pure Yeezy slides.
