Wow dude, that is a nice limit anyday! Glad those fish showed up for you, that rough water gets them doing. I was able to get one sheep at SPI on a business trip, it was windy and brutal but the best bite was early for most people, the afternoon folks ended up with 1 or two if lucky. When they move in, the bite is on, does not matter where you fish on the rocks. Few years back in March on SPI, it was a nice calm day, light winds and no one was catching them, so I put on my mask and stuck them with my speargun, I saw hundreds schooling towards the end and they would not bite live shrimp, it was crazy, it left the bankers scratching their heads. I observed them in their spawning mode, milking and rubbing on one another, it was cool to see. I was on another business trip and I gave all my catch away, the water that day was 70deg and clear, it was awesome.
Thanks for the comment! Sometimes they just don’t want to eat ! I’m glad you got to experience that. It’s definitely something that not many people have seen !
Size limit,,, 15"? How many each? Why are you blaming the line? If your getting hits, & starting to real them in, they are most likely hooked! My first thoughts, the fish are a tad too small & or the hook is too small & the bait too big! They just can't get it all the way down & IN. When they are hitting good, Try cutting those shrimp in half. When we are fishing for sauger, we usually have to downsize everything. So they pert-near swallow the whole bait & hook. ;>) You let that one go 'cause it's fat? Are they still full of eggs? Anyway,, it's sure fun watching your videos,,,, while it's snowing up here! Thanks
I was blaming the line because I usually don't miss so many fish. It was the same hook, same rod and reel. The line was also very stretchy making it harder to hook the fish. I let a few go because they where right at 15 by law legal to keep but I prefer to let them go. Usually I only take 15 1/2 and up. But yes many of them are full of eggs !
“It’s a Big fish bro” everytime lmao

Omniplex line no good bro
Jettyman killing it!!!
Omniflex is good bro. I was using Stren and it’s no good. Typically I use Omniflex. Sometimes price doesn’t reflect quality.
