PATH stands for Port Authority trans-Hudson. Yes, that Port Authority. PATH goes as far south/west as downtown Newark. The airport is further south of there. United wants direct one seat train access to the Big Apple instead of people transferring several times.
I heard the same thing about Hartford (UK) railway station, which was saved by closure as it was the local station of one of the members of the British Railways Board, who commuted from there to London regularly
Just imagine the social bubble your live in to imagine that a weird flight like this couldn't get any attention
HAI talking about Newark? Oh boy here we go
I can confirm that there is a small airport in WV that at one point, years ago, according to the OAG Flight Guide, had three flights per week IN, and one flight per week OUT. I figured that every airplane in the world would end up there unless we could build at least two new ones every week to replace the lost ones :-)
2:02 Beautiful animation there
Lmao the plane isn't even close
Yooo I work at Cape Girardeau’s airport and can conform our flight schedule sucks and our town is crusty
I love how a comment of a guy who lives in Cape Girardeau is on top of a comment from a guy saying imagine living there
The most famous guy ever from Cape Girardeau now lives in south Florida.
1:19 niqqa called it niche flight routes
I live in Columbia and this video was a revelation to me. Because anytime I’ve had to fly, I have to drive up to Charlotte even though we have a decent airport here.
Just saying, United could have farmed it out to sky west and flown it on a 37 seat Dash-8, 25 people would actually have made a profit.
I wonder if this was specifically avoided because it may raise suspicions at SkyWest.
@@g-man3785 I don’t think it would have mattered particularly, because they would be getting a nice cheque from United, and not a suspiciously small amount of people on such an aircraft on such a route.
Wow you finally made an aviation video! This is awesome, never seen you done this before
I thought this was about Manchester United but forgot this guy was american.
I think he's actually a Canuck
And he’s the plane loving HAI, so of course it’s the airline United lmao
@@TSNam Huh, reallly? How come he always has such US-centered videos?
@@DantevanGemert the demographics on UA-cam are mostly United States, so he does what retains viewers.
Was the CEO of Manchester United fired due to a twice-weekly flight? I want to hear that story.
0:49 *"Get the hell out of Dodge" really comes into play here*
4:30 Very convincing actor
I used to live in Cape a few years ago. Spent most of my life in the Poplar Bluff area/Dexter area.
This is the first comment I can 100% confirm is telling the truth.
2:00 The airplane slightly overshot Charlotte, no?
Correction: The City Subway (light rail) you showed isn’t the PATH, they are two different things. The light rail and PATH both had projects to be extended to EWR
Creepy Horse Mansion is my favorite Frank Zappa album.
I like how the text in the thumbnail lines up so perfectly

Who else is still confused everytime HAI, Real Life Lore and Wendover Production upload a video?
Like "Is this the Planes dude the bricks dude or the Toyota dude?"
Are all of them the same?
HAI and Wendover are the same person.
Knee gga - nope, Real Life Lore is a different guy. "Sam The Snark" do have both Wendover and HAI...
Very good! Entertaining, especially how you connect it seamlessly to Brilliant!
Last time I was this early I could go outside :(
I just got to say. I love the hook and transition from your informative section of your video to your promotional for the advertisement
You know, the older I get the more I think that the business world is just like an elementary school playground when I hear stories like this....
Well, it mostly consists of people who've never been told "no" in their life so it makes sense they'd act like small children
Astronaut: So it's all Cape Girardeau?
Astronaut 2: Always was
He always tries to find a way to insult Newark airport.
Nobody WANTS to fly to Newark, but we go there because that's where the layover is.
HAI: releases video
Me: I AM SPEED
God I've been in dodge City and we'll it feels good to have it mentioned by one of my favorite UA-camrs
When this whole lockdown narrative runs its course, I'm gonna go on a trip to Cape Girardeau. Any suggestions for tourists?
Sam: "corrupt politician"
Me: "Please don't say New Jersey, please don't say New Jersey."
Sam: "from New Jersey "
Me: "Damn it New Jersey! I thought we talked about this!"
As a programmer, I have to say it’s nice knowing how some things work. But it can seem to take the magic out of it sometimes as well.
Sam: "Well, if *you* want to..."
Me: "closes browser window*
0:17 bruh these kids are "reading" the book backwards
That's why Mom would hand me books upside down.
I love how the narrator is sarcastic and very informative at the same time
Tfw the government takes more action against United Airline employees than the company itself
Didn't realize how large the island in bend of the river had gotten. Pretty cool to see it from above instead of from the bridge
4:25 What law-breaking was he doing by running a flight in his own company that lost money? Like I get being fired because United wouldn't have liked that very much, but I don't think it's breaking any laws to do that. No more than if he had a private jet and wasted all that time and fuel himself.
Bribery charges maybe?
@@X.Y.Z.07 Maybe. I know it's illegal to bribe a govt official, but I don't think it's the same to bribe a CEO. But maybe it doesn't matter since they were both in it? idk.
Deceiving the shareholders
@@crazy808ish but it was though, United CEO basically bribing the official to sign off the light transit at Newark by offering the flights
Gosh!! Your transitions especially in HAI are just phenomenal.......I was, for a sec, shocked to think Computer science knowledge could really help in setting a deal with United airlines!!!
Damn last time I came this early my wife left me
