I've had Lyme disease since 1986. I had the bull's eye rash and became very ill. I was misdiagnosed for 27 years. Lyme destroyed my jaw joint and mandible. I've had 3 jaw surgeries one being a total jaw joint and partial mandible replacement. Lyme disease has caused many problems in my life. The tick bite happened in west Michigan.

I live in Colorado and have have had chronic Lyme for 30 years. Too bad they didn't discuss the mold/Lyme connection more extensively. My heart does out to this young woman and her son.

So saddened for this young woman and her son. I have chronic lyme over 15 yrs now; it has changed my life. many years ago my mother contracted rocky mt. spotted fever from a tick bite while vacationing at seashore in Maine! Never say never... Susan

You have to find a LLMD (Lyme literate doctors) that treats you with long term antibiotics.

That map is wrong. We have lyme in CA especially in my county. I'm so sorry his treatment providers could not catch it.

My niece's husband has lyme disease from a mosquito of course and it's so bad he had to have a permanent port and planted up by his neck and every once awhile he has to go to the hospital and get an infusion of antibiotics or whatever it is I have to keep them alive and it has a lot of bad effects so I'm busy they told him you'll never get over it

not true, my son was late stage Lyme...extremely ill, he went the natural route, it took about a year but he has almost fully recovered. BIE clinic in Ontario.

So great that we actually had a vaccine that could help people to prevent this in the future
