I am from Finland and I have a VHS player that plays PAL,NTSC and SECAM.I got it at as birthday present in 2013 and was surprised many years later that it not only played my PAL VHS tape but also my only NTSC VHS tape and my only SECAM VHS tape.
Had this player/recorder for 20 years. bought it when it was available in 1991. paid $2000- for it. first: tapes don't have regions (1,2 etc.) like DVDs. they have broadcast systems, such as NTSC, Secam, Pal-M, Pal, etc. with this VCR you can playback any world tape on a local TV system . You can play European PAL VHS on NTSC (north American) TVs. Panasonc "AG" models refer to professional-grade equipment.
Hi, I noticed that when the VCR was hooked up to the TV, the display was stretched to widescreen instead of maintaining the 4:3 fullscreen aspect ratio of the tape. Would you have to go into the display settings for the tv to change it to it's rightful display?
Can this VCR output to any signal format, like dub a tape to your chosen signal format like NTSC, to PAL, PAL to NTSC etc. I know some Multi-System VCR's did not have the output, dubbing facility which makes the item useless.
Yes it will. The US TV doesn't even have to support PAL, because you can tell the VCR to convert the signal from PAL to NTSC, so even any dumb US-only TV will display it.

Yes, this VCR will output in PAL format. It will work on PAL TVs.
But worldwide VCRs are expensive.
What about ag-w3?
Will this player allow you to watch PAL vhs on US tv?
If your US TV support PAL then why not?

Did you hear about the VCR that was advertised as, yet couldn't be a worldwide VCR? That advertising was a s(e)cam (scam).
(no offence).
How much price
@sara and patrick 2.0 I don't get what's so funny...
Je déteste la conversion de NTSC ou PAL en SECAM, on perd en qualité.
I saw that it only records in SP or LP mode. Will it play NTSC tapes that are recorded in SLP mode?
