@@SowtheLandSpeaking of fowls, will you be putting any animals/chickens in there to work the soil and keep the bugs 🐛 🐞 out? Marigolds are good pest repellents too.
Your design style , quality of build, and innovation, is AMAZING! I have watched 5 channels put ends on your is SO much better than any of the others I watched. Good Job Jason!
You are so clever and resourceful with all of your builds. Better to plan things out and hopefully get it right the first time than have to fix and rebuild over and over. Love the way you keep everything so neat and tidy too. You all are my favorite homestead family!
I love the way the greenhouse looks! That sliding door is wonderful! It's so nice you can build whatever creatively comes to mind. If I made a greenhouse for me I would put another block under the current one you use to open the window in case you only want the window halfway open because I'm that kind of girl temperature-wise. What would also be really cool would be to use those rubber mats they put in horse stalls for the walkway after you build the extra potting tables. I know those types of mats are too expensive, but I would think they'd provide more longevity, especially if you'll be running a wheelbarrow in and out. If I was rich, I'd send you some. That greenhouse looks spectacular!
Your mind is always working. I am glad you are so talented and your wife is very appreciative and very practical. I am 78 so I can enjoy your accomplishments. God Bless!
I really enjoy watching your family and especially all your maintenance and projects you complete on your farm. Also the ladies are very skilled and involved. The quality of the food you eat is stellar. ❤
Very nice . . . farmers all over the land will be proud of your inventive skill . . . Jason the farmer. Cheers . . . put a wind latch on the sliding door.
All the thought makes all your projects look great and function well, the weed block you should put it down now while the weeds are dead if you wait to long they will start growing:) have a wonderful week.
Very nice side wall! I wish my hoop houses had sliding doors like that! So much more useful than swing open doors. Mostly because they don't blow shut as soon as you open them and you can leave them wide open in the heat of the summer. Nice work!
You might flip that top vent because the hottest air is at the peak of the roof. If you put a vent on the opposite end down low and then have the vent as high as possible on the opposite and you will get the Venturi effect to cool off the high tunnel. Just a thought.
The sliding door seems the best option. And it looks pretty darn good and definitely functional. You could always add a hd Uchannel for the bottom of the door to keep it straight
Well done with the sliding door! I agree with your strategy to take a break now with growing in the high tunnel and make your plans, do the bed improvements and you’ll be off to the garden races come Spring!
Jason you really know your stuff! Lorraine and Penelope are very lucky. Continue with your projects, blessings to all. Laura M from Rockaway Park, New York
Absolutely luv the greenhouse!!! The sliding door is definitely unique! Glad Loraine loves it! I’m so excited!!! Loving the homestead more and more everyday day!!!
I like Lorraine's little Vanna White moment at the end. Jason, you may want to add another strip of wood at the top of the door opening to restrict rainwater and wind.
I love those metal straps for the end wall. Yes Jason a window will take many degrees of heat out of there in the summer. Heat goes up. Just a hint ..never throw away wiggle wire. You are going to love the sliding door. Some day you will have a tractor.
Chickens, egg laying slows down in winter especially when they are molting, which it is stressful and their rest time. Nice job Jason love the way you work and "boss lady" Lorraine approves!
In ground area of water , maybe a little above ground , will help on the end , protecting from cold , you can also insulate water basin and heat it with small solar setup , sun as heater , water as heat storage
Love your channel, watch you all the time !!! Good job on the door and all the fencing that you have done !!! Maybe tarp the inside of your green house or let the chickens in for a few months.
Living Traditions Homestead on you tube has a high tunnel green house and I am impressed with how much they get from their crops. Maybe you could get some ideas from them. They are a super nice family doing basically what you guys are doing. Just a thought.
Roll and fold that landscaping plastic .... I could see something between clothes for your flat garden, hoop houses adaptable for your open raised beds or flat garden, or jusy plain some type of removable covering for your open raised bedd.
Can you use the extra plastic for the landscape ? Great to get the approval and excitement from your lovely wife... are you thinking of making raised beds?
Well done Jason! I literally just gave you a round of applause haha. Blessings to you all! And... I keep asking God for a tractor for you. So I know He will do it. Must be a timing thing. 😉
SOW cool 😎! Love the barn door!! 🚪 I have a question 🙋🏻♀️, do you have a water catchment system for the greenhouse 🤔? That would sure be helpful. Thanks for sharing!
I love your videos and following the process. I've learned a lot! thank you. Also, I wish y'all had work wear. Like that brown hoody vest you were wearing.
The high tunnel looks great. Check out videos from living traditions homestead on how they grow in their high tunnel. They don’t have to weed anything.
Tractor 🚜 tractor 🚜… keep saying it Jason! Speak it into existence and we will be here to celebrate with you!
Hey we bought one of your excellent organic pasture raised turkeys! It was so yummy!!! A win for sure.
Good to hear! thanks so much!!

Jason, you do such beautiful work! I love the sliding door.
By far my favorite homesteaders! Informational, neat and tidy without piles of junk and trash literally everywhere.
I feel the same. Especially the neat and tidy
I agree. I swear I say this on every video lol. I really, really appreciate how neat and tidy they keep their property.
Those pigs are always so excited to see you. Yes, you are there to feed them but that kind of a welcome would always make me smile.

Great job finishing up the greenhouse Jason. 👍
If you build wooden tables, you can have shelves under them for storage. That would be awesome!!
That door looks awesome! You are a genius Jason and can build anything! I knew Lorraine would love it too💖
I think it’s a great sliding barn door for the greenhouse and your air vent is perfect, nothing too complicated.👍👍

Job well done, Jason. You do good work. Might have taken a few weeks but now it is as you like it.
