This series is going to be great! I love Valentina! In photo 1, I say go with charcoal gray on fireplace brick and neutral off white color on walls. Then add a few dark accent pieces on the shelving to tie it in. On photo 2, The shelves and side table are square but the table is round. So I agree with Valentina, combine the two shelves on the back wall so they aren't taking up the width of the room or separate them and angle them in the corners of the long wall. That makes them create a surround for the round table and adds space for a big round rug. Then add a very large floor mirror between them. On the other wall with the side table, add a big piece of art that hangs horizontal to the table. It will reflect in the mirror. Get rid of the metal piece, it's too busy and dark. In pic 3 I'd switch the layout. Big sofa on the window wall and a BIG rug. Large rectangular coffee table in front of sofa so that it matches the length of the room. Large plant/tree in the corner, something with big leaves, NOT a fiddle leaf or ficus, maybe a palm. Id love to go decorate all those spaces!! Lol

Leave art on wall where side table was, nothing on floor. Gives bigger layered focal point for view from kitchen instead of a wispy console (and it’s free!)

I just love our design and colour schemes. I too have done my place for years in beige, black white and grey and all my clothing too. I find people find it dull, but as you stated in one vlog add greenery. I thank you for your information on design.
On the first room. Put less on the shelves too. One medium size item and only a few smalls on each shelf. etc. Just not too many smalls. Room two all I would do is put a a gorgeous mirror on the empty wall and leave the rest alone.

Love this! I very much appreciate your tips but sometimes have difficulty incorporating modern and mid-century recommendations into our 1930 craftsman style cottage. Seeing other people’s homes and discussing how to design around their specific features is very helpful and confidence building.
Love your videos and I would love your opinion about adding a built in LED fireplace. A gas one is out because my Mom is on oxygen. I'm in the process of redoing my condo and getting the rooms all painted in white. The only rooms left to be painted are the living room and kitchen. There is only 1100 square feet living space in the whole condo. I love white and black and a modern look. I am doing the floors in a light laminate wood throughout except the two bathrooms that I want tiled. The front room has a difficult space for furniture placement and there's no entry space. The wall which separates the living room and kitchen is the best wall to use for the TV and is where I want the fireplace installed but it is the wall that is located as you enter the house. Normally I would use a slim sofa table with a mirror above it to create the entry if we didn't have a TV. My neighbors are all using that same wall as their TV wall due to the odd shape of the room. HELP US PLEASE! I can't send you pictures because right now I have moved EVERYTHING we are getting rid of into this room and I don't think it would be useful due to the mess. Thanks for any suggestions you can give me. I absolutely love watching your videos. You and your husband are both adorable and so much fun. I love your designs and your style. ♥️

I would just start painting the brick a light color first. It’s easier later to change it to a dark color if you don’t like it!
