I have been very frustrated the past few weeks wondering why my iTunes wouldn't work. Tried to reinstall it and that wouldn't work either... This worked like a charm first time! I have never left a comment before but your instruction deserves it. Thank you very much!!!
Thank you. All I did was your first part: Joyce ... Downloads .... Go to itunes 64 set up .... Right clicked, and checked on run as administrator ... and followed the instructions. I Unchecked itunes as default player, and then it all downloaded normally. :) You are an excellent teacher. I tried several other folk's posts on this subject and was lost.
Thank you Nick! Most appreciative of this piece! Been looking for the past couple of days of how to install the 12.10 version of iTunes. It's all fixed now! Great job!
Yo my man, I've been trying to update iTunes for close to two years till I stumbled upon your video bro. I just gotta say thank you so much man really, you don't know how aggravated I've gotten trying to update iTunes so once again I gotta say thanks man and God bless you
cool, surprisingly the very 1st solution worked for my problem. "right click the itunes installer and run as administrator." thanks. I recently wanted to wipe everything off my computer except keep my old windows user profile/documents, as well as installing windows 10 pro( since the windows 10 free was no longer free..hardware upgrades..) so I bought a digital copy of it off of Microsoft website...download was taking forever, so I restored os to a previous version then I re-activated windows 10 pro, and then it finally installed the os(would be nice if they'd throw in a cd key with it, maybe I should have just bought a disc).
yeah i prefer to buy the physical version of OS's (unless of course it's a dodgy version, then all you do is download the iso and burn to a dvd) :) anyways glad this video helped you!
I got the problem installing. did exactly as you demo'ed and with exception of the software update file would not install, it went sweet as a nut. now have iTunes 12.8. great video tutorial Thank you
Thanks a lot for your solution (right click the itunes installer and run as administrator) that worked fine and solved the problem. Before I tried other several suggestions from forums that didn't help. So thanks a lot !
Thank you for this video! Surprisingly, the first option worked for me; 'running as administrator'. I fully expected to have to go through the various other options available from an array of different people. I guess I was lucky this time?! I'm hoping that luck will continue when it needs updates or when I connect my devices O.O In any case, thank you for giving that first option at all! A thumbs up from me.
Thank you Falky this is the first video I watched from you and you helped me a lot but I only needed to watch up to 1:10 then i made it work. Again thanks
Bonjour isn't really needed, it's mainly there to locate printers, shared libraries etc, if you really want to grab it then just go here :) - support.apple.com/en-gb/bonjour
It's only so you know where all the files are when you copy and paste everything over. For ease of use you can just create a folder on the desktop (right click on your desktop. Go down to New and click on folder. Name it iTunes or something and then just paste everything over to that folder you created. :)
First of all thank you very much, I followed your procedure step by step. Unfortunately i encountered a problem. When I try to install the AppleSoftwareUpdate it brings out the problem!
The problem arises when i install the Apple Sofware Update at minute 4:59 of the video. However now i find my self with the up to date itunes. 12.7.1.14. Fully working for now!
God bless you!! May your children not lack anything good in this world! May they prosper and you and your generations after shall never have need of anything by the grace of God. Thank you so much!! I've been trying for days and you helped me fix it. I'm super duper grateful xx
Hey man. Look, I tried this several times and nothing’s worked, it keeps showing the “rolling back action” whilst installing iTunes64 and then I get the usual “your system has not been modified..” I think I should also make it clear that I have the IPhone SE and I’m downloading the version compatible with the SE, which is the 12.1.1 version of iTunes... Any advice?
Thanks so much for this video! I have Windows 7 and I’m installing iTunes 12.7, and I had no trouble with the fix until 4:57, when I tried to install AppleSoftwareUpdate.msi. I clicked through the various windows and got the same error I’d gotten before: “There is a problem with this Windows installer package. A program required for this install to complete could not be run. Contact your support personnel or package vendor.” Help? I did notice that I did not have a Bonjour file in my folder?
Go into control panel and uninstall all apple related software (including Bonjour if you have it) Then do the following. 1. From the Start menu, select Computer. 2. Open Local Disk (C:) located in Computer, or whichever hard disk your programs are installed on. 3. Open the Program Files folder. 4. Delete the following folders, if they exist: iTunes Bonjour iPod Download the install files from apple again and try to install iTunes. Lemme know if it still happens.
It doesn’t show me the AppleApplicationSupport64, only the mobile device64 And even after all the steps you said, it said some user still has it installed and gave the error again.
Is this applicable on windows 8? I'm having a hard time to install itunes on my laptop. When i open itunes "api-ms-win-crt-runtime 1-1-0.dll" will pop out. Please help me to solve this problem. Thank you!
