That is a fine young feller you have assisting you. Beautiful farm and surrounding land. I just stumbled across your channel and am glad I did. I am too old to travel anymore, my children are all grown with children of their own, six grandkids is the final number. I always wanted to go out to the big country, like Montana, Idaho, Wyoming, but I missed my chance. Now I just watch videos of those places. Thanks for making this video.
This is a Series III 'PT' (narrow frame @ 39" - 'ST's have wider frame at 44"). Give away is the Yoke design. These tractors are what were used for the badge engineered Ford FW series tractors, produced from 1977 thru 1982/83 ?
This is a small sacrifice area we keep the cows in during winter and spring thaw. Only gets worked every few years, so deep ripping breaks the compaction and adds some fresh air for the bugs. Going with Italian ryegrass in this field, which is coming out of oat, turnip winter grazing blend. Thanks for the questions!
Thanks for noticing that! He is also fluent in please and thank you, and sir and ma’am. Kids now days are heading the wrong direction! thanks for watching!
If we pulled a ripper behind you couldn't drive in same tracts till you cleared all the rock. That is not a stretch of imagination.. we have land you could walk across a whole quarter section and not touch dirt.
Looks like a big cam. Nothing better than three generations out in the field

Thanks for the kind words. We hope that our daily adventures can provide folks with some life outside of the busy rat race. Have a good day!
Finally a farmer shoveling it in the ground and not teasing the dam dirt
Hi. Made some 300 hours in a Steiger Cougar while working i Minnesota back i 1981. 😊. Niels from Denmark
Superb video perfect sound great camera angles powerfull tractor
We had two of those IH plows. Good deep ripping plow. Like the auto reset shanks too. Those series Steiger's are a real mans tractor...
The spring resets work well until the ground is dry, then you might get one that stays on top instead of diving in. Great simple power!
Hello! Awesome oldie ripping hard, looking easy! Greetings from Portugal.
Thanks for the encouraging words! Enjoy!

Great info 👍
Wow, that plow really rips deep. Must take a lot of horsepower to pull it.
it’s about 400hp and if the soil underneath was dry it wouldn’t pull it! thanks for watching!
New subscriber here, love the rig and the views amazing!
Thanks! Hope you enjoy!
Pretty impressive. I don't thing most people appreciate the amount of Horsepower and Torque it takes to pull a ripper of any size.
very true, and these fields were pretty tight! thanks for the comment!
great land, wonderful. why rip so deep? what is going to be planted here?
I am just wondering

Beautiful country. Looks like you have good moisture. Put a thousand hours on a cougar in Colorado prairie grass country. Good video!

that sounds like a bunch of rock! we could use some of those rocks to fill in where the irrigation pivots get stuck!
