Jaunsar Tribe of Uttarakhand | Tribes of India

Introducing the Jaunsar Tribe, a small group of people who predominantly reside in the Western Himalayan foothills of Uttarakhand.
The Jaunsari tribe is located in the Jaunsar-Bawar area of #Uttarakhand, which is close to the Himachal Pradesh border. The Pandavas of the Mahabharata are the ancestors of this tribe. The Jaunsar population in Uttarakhand speaks a dialect commonly known as Jaunsari, and their culture differs slightly from that of the Garhwali and Kumaoni communities.
